My friend & I had booked for a spa day with treatments today. The whole experience was really lovely. All the staff from start to finish were friendly & efficient, check in was seamless & we were given a great tour. Lunch was delicious from an extensive lunchtime menu. My therapist was Rebecca, was the best, friendly, chatty & very experienced. My treatments, full body scrub & full body massage were amazing, I thoroughly enjoyed my pamper day, would highly recommend & we'll definitely be booking again. Thankyou
The hotel is located in a historic castle, with interiors that beautifully preserve the elegant details of the period. The grounds are wonderful — perfect for walks and for escaping the city atmosphere. Breakfast comes with a stunning view, which makes the experience even more special.nnThe standard rooms are spacious and comfortable, although the soundproofing could be improved. The spa is fairly standard; however, the changing room is quite small, and the shower area lacks basic conveniences such as space to put personal belongings or hooks for towels. Personally, I didn’t feel comfortable having to step out of the shower without a towel in a busy shared area.nnOverall, it was a very enjoyable stay and everything else was excellent.

Our three-night stay was fantastic. The rooms we stayed in the Wordsworth Suite and the Austen Room were beautiful, comfortable, spotlessly clean, and offered stunning views. Every member of staff we encountered was helpful, kind, and attentive to anything we needed during our stay.nnWe are so grateful for your hard work, care, and warmth. Wonderful hotel. I recommend the Wordsworth suite. A hugely spacious room with a sleigh bed and wonderful bathroom and views. The spa facilities were fantastic, with a lovely swimming pool and three separate gyms.nnThe restaurant is a must. The service was second to non and managed brilliantly by Abdul. All our waiters were polite and prompt and the food was delicious. The Scallops as a started and the corn feds chicken are both very clever dishes. The chocolate tart was sublime.nnI recommend this as a destination for not only UK residents but overseas visitors if they wish to have a quintessential English experience with great atmosphere and luxury
Live locally and went for dinner in The Cloisters restaurant for a special occasion. We were not staying in the hotel.nLovely food, fantastic service with Abdel, George and the team which made for a brilliant evening. The team go out of their way and the whole evening was so enjoyable even though they were fully booked. We’ve visited before and highly recommend. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.nGo early and enjoy a lovely cocktail in the bar beforehand. Building is beautiful and set in a gorgeous location. Such a treat. Very lucky to have it on our doorstep.
