We stayed in a junior suite with no garden view but I would suggest to get garden view as it's really worth it. The rooms are nicely decorated and a very good size, with comfy armchairs and super king beds with mattress and pillows to die for! The breakfast is absolutely excellent, (for exception of the cappuccino) offering great quality selections in abundance. The Sunday lunch menu is fairly priced, perfectly cooked, served professionally but also in a friendly manner. However, you must book ahead if you wish to  have dinner, lunch or the afternoon tea experience in the weekend as it gets very busy. All members of staff went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The building is kept in great conditions and offers exceptional views and character in each of its rooms. The hall is superb as well as the dinning area and the library. The only disappointing thing is that the spa is in another building which is a public small gym, so it was not as quiet and relaxing as hoped. The swimming pool is also small and rather shallow, yet we enjoyed it anyway and took part to the aqua class at 5.15pm on Saturday (avoid this time if you are in search of piece and quiet). We would definitely recommend this hotel and return soon for another weekend stay. We have since become members of the handpicked club and look forward to visiting other properties of this chain.

Very complicated layout. You will get lost. We were there in very quiet season so staff were a little bit too attentive. Still, for its proximity to London this is a great remote-feeling Gothic treat.

My wife and I stayed here for one of her birthday presents. The reception staff were fantastic and extremely helpful! We enjoyed the spa and swimming pool area. The library was great fun and provided board games alongside drinks! Room service was great however the food is basic and could do with a few more options. Fantastic views and a gorgeous hotel! The staff in every department were outstanding and I will be recommending to everyone for atleast an overnight stay getaway!

Was at the venue for a wedding. Grounds were lovely and well kept. Staff were extremely helpful throughout the day. Spa and gym were very clean and well equipped.

Very good service - everyone was very helpful. Bit strange that our table decoration at dinner was a dead flower, so although really helpful attention to detail could have been better. Fortunately that gave my wife and I something to talk about 😄
