Story

Nuthouse Hair Design has been established since 1977 and been in the caring and capable hands of Cliff Hacker since 1984.

Based in Newport Arcade, our lively salon and friendly staff help to create an atmosphere of charisma and excitement which will guarantee to make your experience with us enjoyable.

The salon works on two levels joined by a beautiful spiral Victorian staircase. Having recently received a refit, the salon is now fitted with Takara Belmont furnishings and equipment to help save room and add style, whilst giving our clients the comfort they deserve.

Great place the girls are fun and Kim  does my hair perfectly nothings to much trouble this is my second visit the first time was to get my awful haircut sorted I’d been somewhere for a pixi cut but it wasn’t right an so waited couple weeks and looked for somewhere to get it sorted and found this place thank you 😊

Absolutely amazing! 

After having a bad balayage from someone else, Sarah really did an amazing job in rescuing my hair. It looked so natural! Sarah listened to my concerns and went around what I wanted and I'm in love with my hair!

Friendly and welcoming staff that pay close attention to the condition of your hair and listen to your hair concerns. I  have always been pleased with my hair cuts.

Promised my daughter a balayage as part of her 16th birthday present. Did a bit of research and decided on Nuthouse Hair Design. So glad we did! What an amazing experience in the safe hands of Sara. She made my daughter feel so relaxed and so excited to see the outcome. It looks amazing! So natural. Thank you Sarah for a great, fun afternoon!
