It's meant to be a library - NOT a community centre! I had some very urgent revision to do for an upcoming exam, I get distracted at home so hoped I could retreat to the quiet sanctuary of a library to boost my work ethic. HOWEVER it was very packed, there were so many people there, of all ages! Old man talking loudly, coughing and sneezing in groups. Babys crying at the top of their lungs and children running around wildly screaming to one another. The staff did absolutely nothing about all of this. It was loud and disorientating. I am not exaggerating in anyway either - as a local guide i try my very best to provide reliable reviews. I was actually quite disgusted by everything. As i had to travel to get to this library I tried to cope with it, but couldn't stand it, leaving after 30 minutes. I am NOT coming back and do NOT recommend it to anyone wanting to study.

Nice quiet and easily accessible. You can sit comfortably to read or sit at a table to write in private little corners..there are PC booking times if you need to access the Internet. You can print and scan too. Children's clubs are pleasant to hear if you happen to be there during story time. Staff are friendly knowledgeable and very helpful. There is also a quick automatic system to check your books in and out.

If one wishes to work or study in peace, then I would not recommend this library to any such person. The noise in this environment was unbearable, between the babies and children screaming and the staff chatting to every person in sight, I could do nothing but wish for more of this place. I must also inform of the low upkeep of this place, many of the leather arm chairs were stuffed with wrappers and tissues, and the same was true of the tables before them.

Very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great place to bring young children. Offers a range of services and activities though out the week and the summer holidays.
