Excellent! Great hand pulled beer and lagers, great atmosphere and the staff are very welcoming. The food is good but slightly on the expensive side for what you get in my opinion but that's the only thing I can criticise.

A decent real ale pub in the centre of Darlington. They always have a good selection of beers and lagers including the standard White Boar. The pub itself is welcoming and often busy. They don't play music so it's a good place for a good chat with your mates.

Still the best pub in Darlington. Exceedingly well kept cask ales. Village Brewer beers are very good and great value. The house gin is great and service excellent. Downside is the size of the place coupled with it's popularity makes it a bit cramped at peak times.
