Story

Number 1 sells a range of hot and cold food, almost all of which is prepared fresh on the premises. If you don't see what you want, just ask - if we don't have it, we'll try to get it for you!

Breakfast choices: Fresh fruit, hot porridge, hot filled rolls (bacon, fried or scrambled egg, black pudding, sliced and link sausage, haggis, tattie scones, or a combo), breakfast burritos, toast & jam.

Soup: we are famous for our home-made soup. Each day, we sell two (sometimes three) different soups.

Lunchtime choices: a large choice of freshly-baked rolls, ciabatta and panini, with your choice of filling; choose from our range of cooked meats (chicken, ham, roast beef, salami, pastrami, turkey, corned beef and more), chicken mixes (Mexican chicken, spicy chicken, sweet chilli chicken, coronation chicken, chicken mayonnaise), cheeses, pate and tuna - and every filling comes with your choice from our salad bar! These fillings are also available in freshly-made wraps. Our friendly staff will also make up a salad box for you on request.

Hot meals: we sell a number of hot dishes. On any given day, there will be a selection of these; examples are chicken curry, mince & potato, haggis neeps & tatties, spaghetti bolognaise, macaroni cheese, stovies, and chilli con carne. And we serve a selection of hot snacks including pie & beans, beef burrito, spicy meat ball panini, crispy haggis balls.

We do a selection of other hot dishes as well, including baked potatoes with your choice of filling, steak and mince pies and toasted panini.

Drinks: our Coffee is made from freshly-ground Italian Aroma beans - and we don't think you'll find cheaper or better in Edinburgh! We also sell tea and hot chocolate. If it's a cold drink you are after, we have an extensive range of sodas, fruit juices, and mineral waters.

Buffets: we regularly make up finger buffets for some of our corporate customers, and for special occasions. If you are thinking of entertaining in your home or office, we would be delighted to discuss your requirements with you - just pop in or give us a call.
