The negative reviews reflect more on the people giving them than this gym. London is full of negative opinion, no one is listening to the keyboard warriors at home I reckon. I’ve been here 6 months and had good experiences, my goals have been met in this time. My weightlifting , my strength , my fitness and my well being have all improved. I have always been able to get my chosen work outs done no matter what times I’ve went. The gym has some minor cosmetics issues but this was never going to stop somebody serious about a bit of training. I have found the staff to be very nice, helpful and very good in each of their given departments. From PTs to the cleaners to the managers to the lifeguards and the sales people . It’s the best money I’ve spent in my 2 years in ilford .

A total disgrace! For the price they ask, you would expect something fancy or at least better then elsewhere. And i will tell you what you will get: 1. Damp old changing room in the basement with no ventilation or AC. 2. Floor in the changing room is always wet because most clients don't really have common sense and decide not to use towels. 3. Broken taps and showers. 4. Old and outdated gym equipment. Most of the machines lack weights and are broken. Ripped benches is completely normal in this gym. 5. They are investing literally zero amount of money and somehow manage to have client base. 6. Barbells are apparently too expensive for nuffield as there is max 200kg of them in all the gym, for everyone! I honestly wish and hope that this gym will go bankrupt as you can find way more better ones in area for 20£ a month.

This is not the right place to join you will repent, my brother has been paying lots of money and driving too far because of the Nuffield gym but unfortunately this is a worse place to get trained so please kindly go to any other gym than this branch. They don't care about their clients. PTs prefer to train privately than inside as it's not worth to be with this branch.

How do you expect to not bring your own towel and stuff? What did you expect? Would it even be worth using a dirty towel you don't know touched before you? The gym is super nice. I could honestly live here if I wanted to. The gym has so much in there that if one thing was to malfunction, you have 20 more to get on anyways.. so what's the issue? The room is so big to allow a normal circulation of oxygen too which is nice. The changing rooms are nice they have a little steam and sauna there which is always relaxing( and ofc one by the pool.). It feels really relaxing man I have no issue with anything from the gym. Sure the machines are a bit outdated but that's it dude? £50-60 is reasonable if you're going to have a place for Gym Spa Swimming Studios I mean theres gyms that would pay the same amount just for the gym 🙄 So it's fine.

The worst experience ever I had was joining this Gym. In first month someone broke my locker and robbed my big leather bag with all the belongings including my phone, bank cards, cash and wallet etc . I got really upset and made a complaint at reception. Unfortunately saw no response despite providing photages of broken locker and a witness( one of the staff member). The manager didn't even apologise or showed any sympathy in fact said lockers are not our responsibility as it is at owners risk. "My point is that why the hell we pay such a big fee every month if the facilities provided are not secure". Anyway I took it as a bitter part of life and tried to get over it. After couple of weeks when I was using the gym equipment a guy approached me in very inappropriate manners and make me to free the bench although I did so but was completely shocked with his attitude and asked him to say it politely as we are all sharing them and I find your tone kind of thretening the way you are making me to do so. He just came to my head about a inch away and started asking me what did you say" what did you say, you are going to have a big problem here however a random gym user intervened and put him apart and he then kept staring at me and said I'm watching you". Imagine who was that guy who was behaving with me like that... "He was one of the instructor". This is how they deal with their clients as they think they own the gym and have the privileges on anything, also can dominate you.. This time I was fuming and made a second complaint to the manager in office and explained him everything, also asked him to cancel my membership as im very much disappointed this time. Rather he regret the incident he immediately said o yes I can cancel it, give me your membership number and kept saying ohh there must have been misunderstanding between you guys then I raised a question first you should investigate the matter on cctv and watch how closely he came to me and the way he behaved and secondly if you think there was a misunderstanding though this is how you treat your clients like in a gangster style. It is disgusting... Moral of the incidents is that the management is useless and try to cover each other's poor behaviours. If you think you can handle all of above then this is the gym to join. My advise if you paying that much fee then better to go somewhere they value you and respect you. Thanks
