Nu Build have just completed some ‘fairly’ major building work to our house. A couple of months ago we had new doors and windows fitted, the windows had been in for over twenty years and the lintels were original from the date of the house build, circa 1962. The window company had some problems as some of the lintels were crumbling, they had to be patched up as best as they could and that left us with potential structural problems. We contacted Nu build for a quote, Ray and Andy came to our house to look at the job. In all we had the lintels changed in the three largest rooms and the small bedroom. The project manager was Lee, who worked with two other guys to complete the work, they were professional, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and have done a fantastic job. There was a lot of mess and debris every day in the house and outside, the team made sure that everything was cleared so you could still live in the house while the work was going on. They had the correct equipment and expertise to complete the seven day project to the highest standard, if you have lintels that need removing you need to make sure you that the job is done correctly otherwise you run the risk of structural damage to your home. Ray was in touch with us throughout the job, the guys doing the work are a real asset and had years of experience in the building trade. We will certainly recommend Nu Build to family, friends and work colleagues. If we ever need any other work doing we will not hesitate to contact Nu Build.

Last year I moved into my first home where the garden needed a lot of work doing to it. I had Nubuild work on the garden just before Christmas where they converted a sloping grassed garden into a 2 tier garden with a patio on the lower tier and a grassed area with a shed to match my house. Nubuild were hard workers and got the work done quickly and to a high standard and they cleared all the rubbish away. I would recommend Nubuild to all my friends and family on such an outstanding finish.

I was looking for a one stop building firm to build an extension onto my bungalow, replace a flat roof with a pitched roof, remove the chimney stack and fireplaces as well as remove a wall between the Dining and kitchen rooms. This also meant some plastering, plumbing and electrical work. I saw Nu build do some work locally and was pleased with their results so I asked them for a quote. Ray and Andy visited to discuss the project and any issues I had The written quote received was competitive and I therefore commissioned them. The extension was built towards the end of the summer and was completed faster than the 10 weeks planned. I was impressed by the efforts made to source stone and bricks to match the original building. Andy went out of his way to achieve this. The finish was further improved by removing part of the old walls to blend in the old to new stone and brick work. Ray and Andy project managed the work smoothly and had some excellent tradesmen on the project. They would text me updates of scheduled work and who was coming on what days. Brian and Padge have made the external appearance fit in very well and were a joy to watch transform the exterior of the building - from the Stone / brickwork to the roofing. Issues with missing lintels and damaged brickwork in old parts of the building were resolved by Padge, who always brought a smile to work whatever the weather. Plasterers Stuart and Sean were neat and tidy and the finish really nice with “straight and plumb” walls smoothly covered, and edges around the sockets neat. Interior joinery by Lee and Mark has also been to a high standard, with Lee offering solutions to problems arising from renovation work. Lee is also knowledgeable across other areas of trades which helped especially with the fitting of a new kitchen. The plumbing concerns were sorted by Mark and James, re siting the Boiler and renewing pipework, fitting radiators and Kitchen appliances. Checks and gas certificates issued on completion. Overall I am pleased with the way in which Nu Build have transformed and renovated my old Bungalow, overcoming some significant issues along the way. They have an excellent workforce who are skilful and all appear happy to do what they can for you to get the job done right. They have been respectful and obliging throughout. just a quick note to say it has been a pleasure working with your building team, they have been efficient, quick and good at keeping the property clean throughout the build. I did say at the beginning I had a thing for cleanliness! The standard of work and finish is great. It was like Christmas every day coming back from work to see what had been taken away, added or changed. It was 12 weeks of Christmas gifts instead of 12 days of Christmas. I will be able to look back on my photos with pleasure taken throughout the building works. I have been using the new dining room and bedroom this last week and it has made a fantastic difference in my daily life due to the space and being able to enjoy the garden. I will soon be able to use my new office when the furniture arrives this Friday and cannot wait. Please pass on my thanks for a wonderful extension to all who have helped build it especially Brian, Mark, and Sean the plasterer who worked in 32 degree heat. Also Eddie the decorator who put in the finishing touches, some people I know I will not have met due to being at work. Lee, thanks for the lovely floor it is well fitted and feels brilliant to walk on the click vinyl. I know there were hiccups along the way but resolved, a sign of a good company, so thanks again Andrew, Ray and Lee.

We have just had our bathroom converted into a wet room. It looks amazing and is so much better for the family. I would highly recommend this company, they did a full days work every day. Turned up on time every day was polite, considerate and professional. Kept us informed all the time on what was happening each day. We are looking at future work been done by this company.
