Arrived into A&E around 15:10. Within less then 2hrs I was triaged, had my test done and was awaiting my results. I was told the results should be with me in around one hour. At this point I was highly impressed and thought I would be out within within 2hrs hours. Well over 8hrs later I am still awaiting my results. Many patients have come and gone and I continue to wait. It is now 12:54pm, I've been sitting here 10hrs, shattered, hungry.nnWhen I arrived it wasn't that busy, and there was a steady flow. For whatever reason, the Dr delayed my results until the evening Dr was on shift at 10pm. Only for them to conduct more test, and had questioned why all these additives wouldn't done. Really really disappointed. This is not a result of low staff or doctors but lack of professionalism, incompetence and care. Having worked for the NHS for over 6 years, I am incredibly disappointed.
The staff were excellent but the system is broken. I waited 8.5 hours for treatment despite a 4 hour wait listed. The online system in reception kept going down and staff had to resort to pen and paper! For roughly 100 people, there was only 1 toilet and it was a baby-changing room. There should be a pay cut for NUH Trust leaders and managers and redistributed into actual healthcare. You have achieved 1 thing only: the UK continues to have the longest A&E waiting times in Western Europe. You should be ashamed by the state of things. On them eye-watering salaries, I don’t know how you look at yourselves in the mirror. Shame on you. Shame on you.
Worst place to ever go to , if u can go to walk in center then do so . As in this emergency department they will make you wait 11hours for nothing , several experiences in this place my own , my partner and family , no need for details as i never got actual help here . Got more help from my gp and walk in center then ever did in Adult Emergency . So save yourself a 10 h and just head to walk in center or your gp
Specialist dropped the nasal scope and then said “oh I need to prime this”, she went to get a new one, I repeatedly said a blood test would not be possible at this time, she said we will see, I said no. Blood nurse came over specialist said, “she will be with you in a minute” again I refused. Phlebotomy called me I’m still and specialist just chuckled to herself. I was told to sit down and I said sorry, “what did she just say I didn’t hear it” to the specialist who was near me at the time and she responded with, “not my issue anymore, sorry”. Specialist looks to be new and kept saying negative things such as this is horrid I know when I stated it was fine. Couldn’t have been much older than me. Honestly just find somewhere else and save yourself the embarrassment, tears and stress.
Worst Hospital ever I have saw in my life. Travelled to many countries this so called doctors want you to die in lobby area. They don't even care how crucial patient is they need to be in que. I recommend never come here
