Due to dental pain, I had to attend the practice on the day oh Her Majesty’s funeral. The receptionist was lovely, polite and caring on the phone as well as in person. My dentist was the BEST I have ever met, understanding, caring and thorough. Did an absolutely fabulous job and I genuinely can’t thank him enough for his help! I can’t recommend this practice enough
I have been struggling with severe pain in a rotting tooth for weeks. After trying all of my local dentists for an emergency appointment and failing, my partner called Northfield this morning and got me an appointment. I saw Dr Alawsi and I’m glad I did. He was extremely polite and easy to talk to. He explained everything in detail and listened extremely well too. He extracted the tooth with no issues and made me feel extremely comfortable during the whole procedure. I highly recommend him!

Phoned Northfield Dental practice at 8am this morning to see if I could get an emergency nhs appointment for severe toothache from a broken tooth that was giving me so much pain and sleepness nights. The receptionist was very pleasant and understanding and I was so grateful when she gave me an appointment for 2pm. Attended practice and was seen by Dentist Fahad and his assistant who made me feel less anxious and at ease from start to finish on my treatment I received explaining the whole procedure at the removal of the offending tooth left feeling relieved and a very happy pain free patient Thank you x
My husband had a problem with the dentist and after calling to complain was told that the practise manager would call him back, we still had no call back so called again and asked for the head office number which they told him they didn’t know. This dentists don’t help you and don’t care and the customer service is non existent.
I was a new patient here and the service was fantastic. Very skilled dentists and nurses who have been very kind in my appointments. The reception staff is also top form in making sure my appointments were booked at the best time for me, and they made sure to remind me of my appointments in good time. Everyone was very friendly, I cannot recommend their services enough!

If you can get through on the phone early enough, they have emergency appointments available everyday; however if it's just a general appointment you require, it may be 6-weeks in the future before there's an availability?
I have been registered with this practice for many years, and last week rang for an emergency appointment with the onset of sudden extreme pain. I was told to ring the next day at 8 and did so, and a pleasant and sympathetic receptionist booked me in that day. I paid £23.80 at reception for emergency treatment. The dentist I saw was friendly and professional and did an X-ray and talked me through treatment options, but then said could I come back tomorrow as treatment would take 20-30 minutes and she had other appointments to see. I understand she was under pressure of time. She went out to book me in but returned to say that she’d been told I had to ring up again at 8 the following day. So reluctantly I left and suffered another day of pain unable to eat. The next morning, Saturday, I rang and after 20 minutes on hold, spoke to a very curt and grumpy woman who said it didn’t work like that, I’d had an emergency appointment already and unless I had swelling or bleeding I couldn’t see anyone. When I expressed surprise and tried to explain that it was a continuation from the X-ray and investigation being done, she told me to stop jumping down her throat and to listen!! When I said does extreme pain not count, she said this is a walk in centre? I don’t know how that is relevant to my problem. I have now paid privately at another dentist to address the pain. So the money I paid here plus the X-rays are wasted. I have never in my life encountered such rudeness from a receptionist who sounded as if she really didn’t want to be doing that job, and with such an unnecessarily harsh manner towards patients who are suffering pain and are often in a state of anxiety over treatment. Perhaps management should look into retraining or replacing her if she’s so weary of her job.
I'm in a situation where part of my tooth has just fallen off. This is the closest dentist in the area so I went for a visit. They didn't want to help me at all. The lady explained to me that they are not accepting new patients. I do not know what they are doing there, but if you have a dental problem, they will not solve it. In my country, it works better and the dentist solves dental problems. Here it is more a for-profit business than dental treatment. Now I have been left with a toothache that is still unsecured and may develop further infection. I am frustrated with this whole situation because tax and insurance are withheld from every paycheck. Nobody asks me if I want to pay. But when I need help, I just don't get it. I'd rather not pay insurance on every paycheck. I could spend the money saved on treatment because so far I only pay and receive nothing in return.
My partner was having extreme pain in their tooth and was declined an appointment for two days running, when she finally got an appointment after a cancellation the dentist had to cancel it again because they had no nurses on staff and she wasn’t able to see any patients. She asked a few questions over the phone and prescribed my partner antibiotics and said they would book her in for a general appointment at a later date to potentially pull the tooth, but this appointment was booked for three weeks later and even when asked for a closer slot they declined her. The pain got worse and she ended up going to a different dentist who saw her two hours after caller, prescribed more appropriate antibiotics and took x-rays which showed it wasn’t related to the tooth this dentist wanted to remove. All throughout the process of trying to book an emergency appointment the reception staff were generally unhelpful to the point that they gave us the number for two other dentists in Corby and Wellingborough who refused to see her since she was registered to Northfield and they supposedly had a duty of care.
