Can't argue with the staff, really nice guy invited me and a few mates in with a warm welcome. Service was good, prices were a bit steep for alcohol but a nice outdoor seating area with plenty of space to park the car. Had the fish and chips which was OK, just far far too much batter and not a lot of fish. A few of us had the same issue so it can't of been a 1 off. If I return I think I'll try something different.
Visited today for the first time with my family for my sons 5th birthday lunch and will definitely be back! Food was lovely, plenty of choice on the menu and everything came out hot and tasted great. Roast dinners were thoroughly enjoyed all round. We had a mixture of the Gammon, Beef & Lamb Shanks. Staff were really attentive and friendly, we had great service from the Manager Lisa. We all left happy & full and we will certainly return in future. Highly recommend, Thanks again!
We had visited The North Star yesterday for a work Christmas Lunch. There was 29 of us, which was a lot of people to accommodate in one seating. Lisa, Maria and the Team were amazing, they catered for all our needs, rearrangements due to the snow and delivered all our meals hot. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon. We look forward to seeing you all again. Komal x x
Lovely Christmas dinner today at the North Star. A bit of an early celebration, but the staff were great and really helped to make the meal feel festive. The table was laid with a runner, centre candle decoration and crackers. Food was excellent with a nice break between dinner and pudding. Very reasonably priced and definately worth every penny.
Arranged a surprise meal for my nans 80th and booked the North Star as she loves it! The process to book and pre order was made so easy! On the day the staff couldn’t do more for us, they gave us plenty of space as there was a lot of us and were always on hand asking if we were ok or wanted another drink! The food as always was delicious. I had a pie which was bursting with yummy meat. Cannot rate it highly enough, we will definitely be back, as must if your in the area!
Went there today for mothers day with my family and had a Sunday roast and it was absolutely amazing, they always do lovely food, and staff are lovely and polite and make you feel very welcome
staff seemed very friendly, place looks cosy and tidy, I'm not a regular in here but I will definitely go more often, haven't tried the food so I can only merit it on first experiences

A friendly and well organised pub/restaurant that offers a good basic menu. We really enjoyed our family's meals. Currently participating in the government "eat out to help out" scheme. Well organised regarding social distancing but the "track and trace" is via an app accessed through scanning a QR code on a table just outside the entrance which many people may miss. Better to ask for a name and telephone number as other pubs and restaurants are doing?
Staff and food really good. Guy on bar early this eve really friendly and accommodating
