The atmosphere was lovely the staff were lovely sadly the food was a letdown it was warm and my partner chips were cold but he wouldn’t let me complain but it needs to be addressed and the katsu chicken was very dry with not enough sauce. And no dip for the popadoms I used tomato sauce.
I've always rather liked the North Star - it's nothing fancy but it's comfortable, friendly service and good value for money especially for London. The food is good though I do wish there was one or two more interesting ciders as the choice is very limited on that. Plenty of parking and very convenient for the bus stop.
Really disappointed with my recent visit. It was a quiz night so all the tables were reserved. We shared a table with a friend. You could only order the food displayed on the printed menus/sheet if A4 paper on the table, which we did. However we were charged more than than the prices listed. We challenged this at the bar and was told that the prices were incorrect! No refund was offered. The food was just ok. The table was sticky and the glasses were not collected for several hours. The staff were all stressed but very nice. The whole pub certainly needs a refurb. Such a shame as was always a lovely pub.
Amazing atmosphere, the food was terrific! All the team were accommodating and polite, really friendly. 100% would recommend the pub to others! Can’t wait to go again!
I have always had good food here and its great value , but new years day they really excelled themselves. We had a full English breakfast which was really good, and the 2 young lads serving couldn't have been more helpful , so polite and friendly ,hats off to them ! So pleased we are lucky enough to have such a lovely local pub like this.
Staff lovely stools and toilets absolutely disgusting. The material stools have ripped material hanging off with all the foam showing and there are quite a few of them. Really dirty Need to be replaced. Men’s toilet is revolting and smells but apparently this is to do with the fact that the main is level and doesn’t slope ? Such a shame because it is our local pub and we would love to bring friend here but “ the stools yuk “

Had a wonderful night out with my friends, the bar staff were really friendly, they gave great service & the food was lovely
Stopped of for lunch ...after being informed of 45 minute wait was served overcooked inedible rock hard breaded mushrooms, followed by the chargrilled burnt dry piece of chicken, cold stale chips, gravy that was just brown water for better a word. Awful food and will not visit or recommend a place that serves sub standard food
such great service and always a lovely atmosphere! food is always fresh and the quiz nights are my favourite!
