I got cod with chips; it was made fresh to order and tasted like it, too! Huge piece of fish and lots of chips, pretty good value for money. The chips’ texture was more like potato wedges than fries, which I liked. I’d definitely visit again!
We ordered 2 haddock and a chips. If I could give zero stars I would, this place is a disaster. Greasy undercooked batter and oily chips, not to mention the awful customer service that we received. This is by far the worst fish and chips I've ever had so disappointed we had to throw half of it away. Young woman who served us hates her job and shouldn't be dealing with customers. I did go back and explain to the older lady and she did refund me for a fish 6.50. She was understanding and took her time to listen to me.
The staff was quick but courteous. Rather friendly! They were out of haddock and made us up some with a little wait. The portion size was huge for me but perfect for my hubby. Lovely place!
Very good fish & chips. In the top 2 in Oban for sure. The large cod is a very generous size, good crispy batter and liberal with the salt & vinegar.
The staff was absolutely nice, very quick and efficient! However, 9.50 for a portion of fish and chips even if it's big is a bit much. Worst of it being that I couldn't eat the fish's outer layer, the smell really made me sick seemed to have sooo much oil and I love fish and chips. The inside fish was alright. The chips were good. Don't know if I'll be coming back.
Delicious freshly made fish and chips. Served piping hot. Shop decor stands out amongst the other local chippies and we chose Nories on that basis, definitely weren't disappointed. Huge portions; tasty, fresh haddock and crispy batter.Food: 5/5
Unfortunately i cant share the good experience most reviewers are reportin. We paid 45 pounds for two large portions with Irun Bru. The fish looked amazing, but both fish were dry and the butter tasted like old oil. The chips were mushy and without a crisp. I hope i just got here on the wrong day but i can only recommend to go further down the road to Oban Fish and Chips ....
The Cod and Hammock were delicious, and the chips were awesome. This place also opened a half hour earlier than other restaurants in the area, which was great since we were on a schedule.
BEST FISH AND CHIPS IN THE UK! Absolutely delicious, freshly cooked, to perfection. Delicious, well cooked chips, beautiful tasting fish and batter. Mushy peas delicious too. Never had better fish and chips !
The fish is amazingly fresh melting in your mouth. The texture is great. Similar the chips are very delicious. The stuff particularly nories or the man who speaks Arabic, they are really nice, diverse and very welcoming. I would definitely come to eat more and moreFood: 5/5
