Time to seriously smarten up rundown Great Yarmouth and prepare the area for tourisms, it's so shameful that a wealth country as the UK has such rundown areas. Local authority staff are just too idle and unimaginative unfortunately.

I mostly use the information on there Website although I do find the site is difficult to search for various items available

I've been ringing the council, for 4 days. Back and fro back and fro, just to get a parking permit. Finally got a lovely lady who gave me instructions on how to do it, and a phone number if I couldnt, and she'd talk me through it. Don't know what the ladies name was, but hopefully someone will know. I phoned 856100 and spoke to receptionist???. Well anyway we'll done that lady, I did it by your instructions thank you so much.

Useless to get hold of on the phone, have to wait 10-20 minutes just to get through every time but once yiur through some are helpful and some are just plain arrogant and rude down the phone Cant physically go down there because they will just say to call up Overall very poor service

Need emergency help and was told they're 15mins before the end of their shift and they won't be able to help me. They suggested either calling the police or giving them a ring the next day. They were very rude to me when I wasn't and didn't want to hear what I needed help with as their are people whom are worse off then me and its 15mins before she clocks off so she won't be helping me. DISGRACEFUL BEHAVIOUR BY THIS COUNCIL. South Norfolk Council are much nicer!!!!

Completely useless. Was told by the police to go to the Council to obtain CCTV , when i get there , i get told that apparently the council doesn't give out the CCTV recordings and that apparently police do. I was also given a number to call by a lady at the desk which was supposed to be for the "town center manager" to help me get the CCTV which finds out wasn't an actual number at all. I ended up going back to the Police station and they had explained to me that council saying that they can't provide me with CCTV is completely absolute nonsense and that it is their duty to provide CCTV when asked. The Lady at the desk at the council office didn't seem to be bothered about the situation AT ALL. it was more of her trying to get rid of me as fast as possible by giving me false numbers to call.

Absolutely useless! Don't give a damn about the local people who pay their wages through council tax!. They spend a fortune on new plants in the park & surrounding area, but aren't concerned about how clean the place is - unless its tourist season. Town Hall staff aren't the most helpful. Yarmouth Council are so backward-thinking & clueless on how to make the area better!
