The lounge is clean, spacious and bright with big windows facing runways, so you have a nice view, kids loved it. Food is very mediocre, even some items said it has meat in it - we couldn’t find any. Two options of pasta, rice, saggy salad leaves, bread, cheese and some pastries. Coffee machine uses powdered milk, not a real one. Full bar. Friendly staff. Ok internet speed. Vegetarian options: Curry rice and veggies Kid-friendliness: Runways around. Can watch airplanes taking off.
Make a reservation if you can!!!! We were lucky that after about a 15 minute wait we got in. Which was weird bc it was pretty empty inside. They had the normal full English breakfast, pastries, porridge and fruit. Free entry with priority pass Dietary restrictions: Porridge was made with milk and they were able to make a special order with water
Clean, pleasant, nice food for breakfast. Really enjoyed coming here. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast options were sausage, bacon, potatoes, beans, tomatoes plus the usual cold continental offerings. Coffee was good too!Food: 4/5
We visited just after 4:30am for an early flight. Check in was quick and efficient. The lounge is modern and comfortable. They have a self service hot food counter as well as a table with croissants, pain au chocolate, yoghurt and porridge. Food quality was ok. Prosecco was nice. The staff are very friendly and works very hard. They continuously go round tidying up tables and replenish food items. The toilet is also modern. A bit over the top with the number of wash basins and hand dryers. There are five of each in the men’s toilet. The hand soap is ritual which is a nice touch. The only point of improvement for me is the urine smell in the toilet. Not sure what they can do to eradicate that but it was not pleasant. Apart from that, it is a very nice lounge. Recommend.
There are two lounges at this location. There is one that is free with Priority Pass PP and another that is available for PP+£15. This review is on the free section. There are plenty of seating. Some of the seats could really use some cleaning. There lounge has coffee machines, drinks and alcohol. Food items included yogurt, English breakfast items and some bread. I tried some delicious looking sauté mushrooms with tomato sauce, which turned out to be very bland. The mushrooms had zero flavor. Check in was easy and staff was nice and helpful.
Very clean relaxing and posh lounge. The bar was great there was plenty seating and seating is all super confortable. The staff and service was phenomenal as I was there I accidentally misplaced my passport and it was found swiftly by an agent in the front saving my whole trip. My only critique is the food which wasn’t bad could have a bit more variety as there was a little more to be wanted.
Lovely lounge visit on Friday 28th 10am-1pm. It was not overpacked and the staff were very attentive and would help you find a table. I would say the food is pretty standard and I mainly go for the snacks and just to line my belly before the flight. Our plates and cups were cleared promptly too. Badara was particularly helpful and very polite we had a lovely conversation and it’s so nice to be around someone with such good vibes and a personality considering it was so early in the morning! The drinks were lovely and although Susannah I believe the lady with short blonde hair and glasses was serving by herself a majority of the time! She did an absolutely fantastic job and honestly hats off to her as I’d have been very stressed out!
No.1 Lounge at London Gatwick left much to be desired during my recent visit. Upon arrival, the staff a guy - didn’t manage to get his name, he had glasses and I entered at 12 today at the entrance was noticeably unwelcoming, especially after learning that I had not pre-booked. This initial impression set a negative tone for the rest of my experience. The food offerings were quite average, lacking in variety and quality. There were limited options available, and what was there did not impress. The hot dishes were lukewarm and lacked flavor, and the snacks were nothing special. It felt more like a cafeteria than a premium airport lounge. The lounge itself is reasonably comfortable, but the atmosphere was somewhat chaotic, particularly during busy periods. Finding a quiet spot to relax was challenging and the overall ambiance was far from the serene escape one hopes for in an airport lounge. Compared to My Lounge at Gatwick, No.1 Lounge falls short in almost every aspect. My Lounge offers a more welcoming environment, better food, and a more relaxed atmosphere. Given the choice, I would recommend My Lounge over No.1 Lounge for a much better pre-flight experience. In summary, No.1 Lounge was disappointing, and I would not recommend it unless other options are unavailable.
No. 1 Lounge at Gatwick Airport south terminal is highly recommended before any vacation. The lounge is clean and comfortable. Unlike other lounges we have paid for, this is by far the best and worth paying for. The breakfast is very good and fresh, with a pancake machine. All drinks are included except champagne. Imran is doing a great job keeping the tables clean and removing plates and glasses as soon as they are empty. The over customer experience has been great from entering.
This is one of the best lounges I have ever experienced. The food was delicious and the selection was quite varied, plenty of options. The aesthetic of the lounge is beautiful, modern with a British essence in every corner. The service was excellent. I would like to commend Claudette in particular for catering to every need and being very friendly and helpful. This is a proper lounge, job well done!
