I know Next isn't exactly the cheapest place, but to say it's a clearance place, it feels more expensive than actual Next shops. I think because they slap "clearance" and "sale" around the place that people are tricked into buying more and thinking it's cheap. I also feel like saying clearance on the door gives them an excuse to not keep the shop tidy. Stuff scattered around and not in order, could still make an effort at tidying.
