Asked for a large tray of donner meat, i was expecting wafer thin slices of donner but he took some out of a pot he precut. I said to the worker the pieces looked chunky and that i don’t like chunky donner meat but thinly sliced donner. He said it was thinly sliced meat he cut earlier. Clearly lied, waste of a journey as well as the 8.50 paid for the meat.
Food tasted lovely! Service was quick and polite! Only slight negative - although the battered chips tasted good, they were a tad too greasy

My honest review - having moved into the area a few years ago. I went into this establishment but it wasn't a service with a smile. Absolutely no personality it felt as if I'd put the staff member out his way by coming into the shop and buying food. Yes 'buying' I wasn't asking for it for free! Roll the clock forward 6 years and yes still miserable so I walk past. Save your cash and skip across the road to the German supermarket and get some crispy oven chips. Your wallet and heart more importantly will thank you.
Fish was awful, batter very soggy. Battered Chips were mediocre, will not going here again.Food: 2/5
Asked for normal chips, not battered and was told they would be cooked fresh to order. Waited for these, service was good and staff were friendly. When we got home, I think we were given the ends of potato that were meant for the bin. Every chip was discoloured and had black parts. One piece even had roots coming out of it! Wasted most of the chips as they were inedible. Won't be returning. Will stick to hamstead fish bar.
Staff is always miserable in this shop.. Zero customer service and the food is below average. There are better fish bars out there in great Barr..Food: 2/5
Prices are way too high at the moment. £6.50 for mini fish and chips? £3.50 for a regular portion of chips? This is the only local chip shop where I can get battered chips so that’s why I continue to come here. The chips are delicious though
Staff were friendly. Just passing by and wanted chips, got battered chips! Never heard of them before! Visiting from down south and had a lovely surprise. Quick service too.Food: 5/5
Tried this place 3 times to give them a chance and each visit was as unpleasant as the last. This was down to overpriced items that are mediocre at best and they do not listen to order details. Most recently I asked for 2 meals and instead had everything packaged separate and subsequently charged separately seemingly so the business could get an extra couple of quid. Repeat business is what gets you that not those silly tactics. Also normal chips do not exist here? Neither does a friendly face. Honestly felt like they were always trying to hustle me out of an extra few quid. Won't be returning.
