Lovely place for a relaxing couple of hours or a full day out. Restricted areas at the moment due to Covid so visitor centre, toilets etc are closed but there’s plenty of parking and plenty of space. Beautiful view across Severn Estuary near the lighthouse. Well worth a visit.
A really lovely place to take a walk and see the water wild life. The cafe is also open and offering a good selection. There are a number of well marked walks that will suit anyone. Good pram walking area. Car parking at cost unless one is a RSPB member.
Well worth the trip. Very enjoyable few hours with simple pleasures of walking, nature and a bird or two. Free admission to the wetlands with helpful volunteers full of enthusiasm and good knowledge. Wasn't a great day for spotting birds, but did see some wonderful deep blue dragonflies, as we were there just to take in the experience.
Arrangements are a little different with Covid - parking is free but the visitors' centre is closed. The staff are friendly and the paths amidst the reed beds are always atmospheric. We loved this place and were happy to make a generous donation to the RSPB on the way out.
Gorgeous retreat, just a few minutes drive from Newport. Can't wait to explore more, wish it was open past 5 so I could go after work & enjoy sunset!
Great place for a bit of nature spotting. Not to spoiled and has a nice natural feel. Great for riding with young children. And some lovely views across the channel.
Beautiful reclaimed land, excellent for birders, great views and a cool little lighthouse
Stunning place, boucle floating walk way, miles of grass or reeds or,,, well green grassy reedy things, nice random concrete things to sit on,,, gud!! 13 out of 17 rasta badges
We visited when the rain was pouring so we didn't see many birds. We did see a Kingfisher whilst looking out the window in the cafe. We have a 2 year old so did the shorter walk but it was lovely and lots of puddles to jump in.
Nice for a long walk along the water with nice views.
