Apologies for the lateness of this review. I used Newington Fish Bar for my husbands 70th birthday party in Manston Village Hall in September. I organised everything with Claire. All our guests commented on how good the fish and chips were. Nigel delivered the fish and chips at the time we wanted and they all arrived hot, and were absolutely delicious. We were disappointed with our fish and chips dinner. The fish had ammonia taste and chips were over cooked and full of black bits.
The fish and chips here is absolutely the best you can get . The batter is light and crispy & The cod has a meaty steaky texture that is to die for. The mushy peas are excellent as well. I recommend a side of the fried spam on the side. I will be coming back to Kent specifically to eat here again.
Probably one of the best fish and chip shops this side of Kent. Quality food, fast, efficient and polite.
Excellent customer service. The fish and chips they do tastes better than the fish and chips sold from other fish bars. The people who work there do everything to a very high standard. Despite the fact that it is near a busy road, the atmosphere inside is pleasant and friendly. This fish bar is something I would recommend if you are looking for high-quality standard fish and chips.
