Good fried fish and seafood restaurant in the center of Athens. You can eat there or make it take away since the plating is already in cone format. The price was less than 5€ per cone which makes perfectly acceptable. The salad at the bottom is dispensable since it occupies space that could be used for more fish/seafood. The service was fast
If you are a food lover, and you in the centre of Athens, this is the place to be. Its the only place in Athens that does fish in a cone, and its delicious. You can enjoy several fish in a cone. My favourite was the calamari, but everything is fresh. I could still smell the sea. They also have a few tables if you would prefer a bigger meal, or to eat there. Either way a must try. Lastly, they also do takeaway and delivery. TIP: They are open daily from 11am -5pm only.
A gem in Athens! Service was smooth. The shrimp zaganaki was delectable with the combination sauce of feta & the sauce. Everything was fresh! The fish balls were generously made of fish meat with a yummy tartare sauce. We also had sardines & squid cones which were moreish. I know this place can get really packed but we got lucky that we got to experience this at a more relaxing pace.
Not a good value for money. We wanted to have a snack, so we order one small shrimps cone and one sand smelt. Unfortunately, we had to wait for about 40 minutes for our cones. So go with time, not for a quick snack. The cones were ok... but not really good for almost 8 euros each. No sauce on the side, only a small piece of lemon, so in general very dry to eat. We also expected a cone, but we got plates instead of cones, but no big deal. Not really recommendable for a snack...
We went here for lunch. It is located close to a big shopping street, but in a quiet alley next to it. Classic yet modern Greek ambience. Menu is specialised on fish and seafood. We had the potato salad, greek salad, grilled sardines and marinated octopus. Everything was fresh and delicious. English-speaking service was quick and super friendly. Overall great quality for reasonable price.
So fresh and delicious!!! Get a few cones for take away and enjoy some fresh sea food that is fried but loses none of it freshness and flavor. Also you get a little salad under the fish to keep it healthy. I personally recommended the Sardines or the Squid.
This is a must go place!!!! The food is so fresh and tasty and you get quite a lot you can easily share between two people for a light snack. I came here twice and do not regret it at all. If you want fish in a cone this is the place to be.Food: 5/5
Where do i start to describe this amazing place? From start to finish everything so tasty and fresh. From food & drinks to top level professional staff. We 100% sure that we come back to this place.
Well, well, well, if it isn't Zisis Fish in a Cone, the restaurant where you can have your fish and eat it too! The concept of putting fish in a cone is almost as genius as putting pizza in a cone, but let's stick to the seafood for now. The cod strips are certainly the star of the show here, and they're seasoned so well, it's like they've been to culinary school! And don't even get me started on the tzatziki, it's like a Greek goddess dipped her fingers in there and blessed it with flavor.
So tasty! I’m glad I found out about this place. Fresh, piping hot seafood options. The cones are a good value and cooked to order. I had the fried smelt cone, full of tender fried fish. The grilled calamari was perfectly cooked and seasoned well. I highly recommend you go here. They open at 1 PM.
