I attended a Saturday introduction to wine tasting at Blackfrairs and it was incredible! Louise who led the session was extremely knowledgeable and a great tutor on the day! Would 100% recommend this experience. We had so much fun, were able to ask questions and get involved in discussions, and we learnt so much. We tried wines we would never have thought about buying from the supermarket quite closed minded of us, I know! - but now will definitely be looking out for interesting and different wines to try.
My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed the wine and tapas evening. The setting is informal and comfortable and the group was small so everyone got a chance to ask questions should they want to. The whole session was really informative without being stuffy, the wines were delicious and the tapas complimented the wine wonderfully. An experience I would thoroughly recommend and hope to repeat. I would also add that unlike some other wine tasting experiences this is not a promotion there is no wine on sale there is information on which supermarkets stock but it's just about having a lovely evening.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 week tour of French wines! Alex was incredibly knowledgeable and introduced us to so many fantastic wines! We would definitely recommend Newcastle Wine School and look forward to signing up for another course very soon!! Lisa and Jonathon
4 really interesting and informative weeks, each week tasting wines specific to a different region of France . Alex has a depth of knowledge and a passion that he was happy to share - as well as bringing some wines I had never tried but will now hunt down and learning more about wines I thought I knew. A friendly and welcoming class. Already looking for the next course.
Took part in the 6 week 'World of Wine' course and had a brilliant time. David and Alex are very knowledgable but break down the tastings so they are easy to understand and get involved in.
Attended a Wine tasting a few evenings ago. Very well organised. Smallish group so everyone could get involved. Learnt a lot and would definitely go again.
Attended a tasting of natural wines. We really enjoyed it, tasted some lovely wines, learned about the process without being 'talked at'. Definitely going again! Thanks :
Really enjoyable day, lots of good wines and a very knowledgeable lecturer. On top of that an excellent lunch in the restaurant!
