Disgusting customer service.. my middle aged mother uses an electric scooter to help with transport, when trying to get on the train the employee told her she wasn’t allowed to take it on. She then explained that she needed to come see her daughter who is pregnant and he replied with well you can use the scooter to get there!! So she is expected to use her scooter for a 40 minute journey by car that would take at least 1-2 hours on a scooter.. disgusting behaviour especially since the employee is an older man he should know the struggles. A nice much improved railway station in the last 8 years,
Absolutely shocking service at this station. I repeatedly told the staff that I needed to travel to Paddington every day, yet they insisted on trying to push a flexi ticket on me, claiming it was cheaper — even though I made it clear that wasn’t what I needed. The staff member even mentioned helping another lady buy one, as if that somehow made it relevant to my situation. After wasting five minutes of my time, they finally let me through when I said I’d go to the ticket office to buy the correct ticket.nnBecause of the unnecessary delay and the painfully slow service at the ticket office, I missed my train by just over a minute. I even asked an older staff member if I could board the train and purchase my ticket at Paddington instead — his response, with zero regard for basic customer service, was to essentially tell me “you’d be fine if you’re travelling without a ticket.” Completely unhelpful.nnIt’s infuriating to deal with this level of incompetence and lack of common sense when you’re paying such extortionate fares. I travel to Paddington every day, and I have never once not paid for my journey. The fact that slow service and poor decision-making from staff caused me to miss my train is unacceptable. Disgusting service — do better.
Ticket office staff yet again proved to be completely not interested in doing their job, God forbid you need assistance ! Don’t bother asking a question, answer always is „we don’t know „ try at different station.
Hiya! I am very very disappointed from the newbury station I went to the ticket counter to ask for help and she was misbehaved with me I said hello to ma'am and she gave no response. When I asked for help she replied so rudely and make very bad face. I am so upset because morning time people became fresh. I won’t ask them for help
