The New Sunrise was highly recommended by other visitors at our holiday apartment now I know why. Absolutely delicious pipping hot and more than you can eat. the empty plates speak for themselves...... Parking: Outside Wheelchair accessibility: Pavement level
The food is pretty good but the customer service was exceptionally rude. Was told to be quicker when ordering when I asked about a sauce for one of the dishes. Understand that it was busy and with just one person on the phone and taking orders too, it can be stressful but this was frankly unacceptable and really terrible people skills. Has put me off going back again to be honest. Quite expensive too at £9 for a main and fried rice. Might just be the cost nowadays though, not sure.
No idea whats happened to this place but the food used to be so good. Now its swimming in oil and tastes off. Onions and veg look off/start to change colour while you’re eating it as if they were prepared weeks before. We used to get one every weekend and you’d be shocked if you could see the difference in how the food looks in the space of a year, last time i got one we binned it and didnt even attempt to finish it, more importantly it tasted horrific. We went back 3 more times after we first noticed the changes, hoping it was a one off but its clear to see this is just how they make food now. Such a shame, really liked this place but im assuming its new chefs or owners. Please go back to how it was before when everything was fresh. Even your chips are soggy and off. In 2020/early 21 this place was my favourite! Its not just me who noticed this, many other regulars I know of have brought this up too. Much better options in elgin than lossie now.

Wide selection of meals, very generous portion sizes, extremely tasty. Great, friendly customer service. Food ready within 15 mins of ordering. Very easy to park outside. 100% recommended, you wont be disappointed. We will be returning for more soon
Really nice Chinese food, everything was full of flavour. Good portion sizes and good prices. Only thing is they only take cash only, even if collecting so something to keep in mind. There is a cash machine in the Co Op on the same road, so it's not a big deal if you don't have cash on you.

We ordered a takeaway and the chicken chow mein was simply divine, it's one of the best dishes I've tried, it was full of flavour and wasn't oily or dry at all, they use the proper worm noodles too, came hot and moderate sized portions.
Staying in Lossiemouth for a holiday. Tried the New Sunrise Chinese Takeaway as I always check the food standards rating and it was good. Others were on warnings. Ordered pancake rolls, delicious, sweet and sour prawn balls, very large prawns and plenty of them and chicken with cashew nuts. Egg fried rice too. All very good.
An absolute delight, everything I've tried has been 100% excellent. Highly recommened
