An absolutely gorgeous place to visit - a definite must see! We didn't get to look round all the museum when we went but what we did see was an amazing insight into local heritage, and it's amazing how well it's all been preserved. Most of all we really enjoyed the beautiful first walks in the nearby countryside. We will certainly be making this a regular day trip destination, and bay even consider staying over one time in the hotel which is also in the site. Really tasty homemade ice cream too - so many treats all in one place! Great for families or couples.

Excellent place to visit. There's a visitor parking space which is free but is a moderate walk to the actual place of visit. You can buy tickets to enter the venue but frankly speaking I think it's better to walk around the compound an enjoy the sights and sounds, especially if the weather is good. There's an old burial ground which is somewhat mysterious and well worth the climb to visit.

Tourist attraction for all the family. If you gift aid your ticket you get a years pass. Nice walks from the car park. Cafe not the best. Staff friendly and helpful. Very spread out and hilly so really need to be fairly fit.

Great day out. The wee ride and cinema were well done and the building itself is beautiful setting stunning. Clyde walk fab. Food in the cafe was a bit rubbish but edible

Great visitor attraction with plenty to see to spend the day. Cafe is better than average for a place like this but rubbish coffee. Be prepared for the steep climb too and from the car park though.
