Sadly absolutely terrible, hands down the worse tasting chinese i’ve had. 80 cents extra to eat it off a carboard plate, 13-14€ a plate, noodles terrible… expensive and not very well cooked even. I won’t come back i do advise to not go. The lady that took our order was nice, just the product severly lacking. Spent 38€ and threw 90% in the bin.
Absolutely love the food from this restaurant. I've been ordering food from here for years and to be honest, I only get take aways from here because it's so difficult to find anywhere better. Chips are always cooked to perfection with a that little bit of crunch, noodles are amazing, the nice skinny ones. Beef and black bean sauce is delicious and so is the chicken breast in Satay sauce. The satay sauce is awesome. The staff are very nice and friendly too, my friend is vegan so they cooked his food in a special oil and they have always adapted my meals to my specific preferences. Very surprised it's not a higher rating. oh and the trios are lovely, I'm in the middle of one writing this :D It's most likely that Any bad reviews are from competitors
Review relates the the murals on the walls rather than the food. If you are looking to photograph the restaurant wall on Richmond Hill usually features excellent street art and it changes on a regular basis.
First time here. Sweet and sour pork was spot on. Hit the mark. Not your average Chinese takeaway joint. Good sized portion and fantastic prices. Owner is very friendly had a nice conversation with her. Very genuine person. Will definitely be back.
EXCELLENT TAKE AWAY. I don’t understand the low rating here. I love Chinese takeaway and have been ordering New Empire for a couple years now, hands down one of the best Chinese takeaways in Dublin!!
Had previously given New Empire four stars as the food is very good. But about a month ago Spring 2022 they slapped at least €2 onto every main course, only weeks after issuing a new menu which itself had involved smaller increases from the previous one. I know inflation is up but a simple chicken curry now at more than €11? So since then I've mostly been taking my business elsewhere to far more reasonable Chinese takeaways in the area. A pity, but that kind of increase is taking the mickey. Update: Another €2 or so since added onto cost of every main course Autumn 2022. Simplest chicken curry with boiled rice to takeaway now over €13. Food remains very good, but costs way too much to visit regularly.
Honestly don’t know how this place is still open!!! NEVER EVER again would I order from this Place, I ordered twice got a wrong delivery and the attitude from the manager and workers is Shocking like it was my fault. The manager is rude when I asked to speak to him he basically laughed on the phone at me. Today I ordered and same again the delivery driver stormed off with my food because he had no change even when we told him we only had a note SHOCKING SERVICES. Avoid.
Listen the spring rolls were probably a 6.5/10 and the young lad behind the counter seemed sound, however. I asked for 2 spring rolls and a can of coke. The spring rolls are 4.80 and the can of coke is 2 but he said "that'll be 9.80". I pointed out that the spring rolls were 4.80 and he said "the sweet and sour sauce is 3euro". When I collected it I had two spring rolls, a tub of sweet of sour sauce sufficient for the spring rolls and then a MASSIVE tub of sweet and sour sauce which I didn't need. My friend ordered same thing as me bar the coke and paid 4.80. Basically he threw in about 500mls of sweet and sour sauce I didn't need and charged me 3euro for it. Other then that they were polite and the food is good. I just don't like getting scammed.

Ordered pork curry and chips with salt and pepper ribs, pork curry best I've had in a long time,ribs fantastic, what a let down with the chips, obviously reheated too many times, gone very dark brown,worst of all one third of them had been cooked so much they had turned rock hard, easiest part of the meal to cook yet nobody there seems to know how to cook chips properly,, won't return until this is corrected
