Hoping to enjoy a Chinese banquet, we ordered a take-away from the New China Palace. Unfortunately, we were left utterly disappointed! Not only did we have to wait almost an hour and a half for our food to arrive when we were told it would take 30 mins, but it was bland and cold. Worse still, we were missing an item. We phoned straight away, only to get told by a rude senior member of staff that the missing item had been sent and that we must be lying!  Would possibly have given it more stars if we had received all our items, although the tasteless food wouldn't have scored more than 2 even if by mistake they'd have sent extra!

Excellent food and excellent service since being back in the hands of the owners
