Updating my review as I visited again recently June 2022. Quality of food and service has declined since I last visited, yet prices have gone up. My order had salt and vinegar added despite not even asking I'd have said no vinegar if the staff had bothered to ask. Very disappointing. New management? New staff? Who knows. What I do know is that I won't be coming back.
Fish and Chips Orange btw were nice but just way to much curry sauce. Ended up leaving most of it.
We have been using this chippy for 7 years and feel it was the best chippy around….however, the last 2 times we have used them I like to give people a second chance it’s been worse than bad, poor portions, incorrect order and stone cold, absolute rubbish. This business has changed hands too frequently of late and both quality and consistency have suffered for it.
They were great at 1st, ordered a few times now and not happy with the Fish and chips I ordered lately, too oil and I don't remember ordering extra batter bits with it. Complaint twice already. Please fix up or I'll just go elsewhere.
Twice I've ordered the beasty burger from there and twice its come with the extras missing no onion rings and no bacon. Was basically a cheese burger with salad. No sauce this time either.‍
Made a large order so had to wait on chips this wasn't a problem. What was a problem was they started to order using the old chips. So by the time the order was complete the first lot of chips were not nice at all. Ordered kebab on fresh Nann. The only thing fresh about the nan was it was fresh out the fridge. The meat was ok but the meat at the bottom on the nann was cold as was the nann. Also ordered a cheese burger and the patty was what I can only describe as a Asda value range. The bun was 3 times the size of the patty. Used to like this place but in recent weeks it has started to slip it's standards always some thing worng with the order. Seriously considering to go else where
Terrible food gone down hill had a steak and kidney pie asked for gravy in a pot and it came over the chips. Pie wasnt cooked properly and the chips were hard like they wasnt cooked properly. Also had a donner amd chicken burger the grease on it was so bad that it was running down my arm. Wont be going there again.!!!!
Been living in netherton for 2 months and every time I order something is missing from my order. Today just now i asked for a kebab burger and cheesey chips they said okay. I get the food and No cheesey chips. Just chips and my burger. I also said lots of salt, but there is no salt. Chips are abit bland.
Had to wait 20 minutes in shop for stuff that was already cooked. More staff than customers. Got order wrong didn't realise till got home and food was amazing would never use again
Had mixed meat and chips . Price have gone up portions have got smaller. Cold meat and hard orange chips . I won't be back again
