Easy to access and find a parking spot. We finished at the Theatre, next-door and went to access the door on the ground floor.Again , easy to access but can NCP install a few Pay and display Ticket machines.
Shocking. Downloaded and paid for parking with NCP park pass. Went to leave and scanned the QR code as indicated and said, ticked not recognised. Had to then pay again with bank card at barrier to leave. Paid twice. Can't even speak with NCP or via app to rectify this.
Nice safe space for the car! Drove all the way to the top for the best views in Bolton.
Secure shuttered entry, wide well defined bays. But the highlight was when everyone rushed over after the show and the attendant kindly helped us get in the door then ran over to help us get out of the exit barriers. What a caring dedicated employee
This is a theatre, library, aquarium and museum!! It's free to enter and really educational. It's great for adults and children and as you can see from the pics it's well worth a visit. It's advertised on Google and best to check out times and days opening on there. The shopping in Bolton is good as well with plenty of shops and parking. The bus station and train station are two minutes from the centre of town as well. A great day out yesterday in Bolton
Safe, secure, parking very easy to find for a person from out of town. Very accessible to all of central Bolton.
Very handy for the Octagon theatre. Also very reasonable and secure
Reasonably large car park and can't fault the free parking on a weekend. For an NCP thats definitely a good deal. Decent sized parking spaces too so you're not completely packed in like sardines and trying to slide out between the car and the door. My only slight concern was how narrow some of the turns were. It's do-able in a large estate car and there were large cars in general in the car park but definitely got some of the narrowest car park ramps I've seen.
Can get really busy on market days otherwise its easy to park bays well marked
I visited Bolton Town Centre today. I try to limit going out because I have a newborn baby and there is a global pandemic. But I needed to open a bank account for him and the bank said I had to do this in person. I parked at the NCP Octagon car park, got my pram and baby out of the car and went to exit. All the exits I tried to use had at least ten steps and the lift were inexplicably out of action “due to Coronavirus”. I rang the buzzer of the onsite office - no answer. I called the telephone number but was told there was a long wait. So I pushed the pram down the vehicle ramps and rang the assistance buzzer at an entrance. I explained the situation and the “assistant” replied “what do you want me to do about it?” So I replied “Direct me to the nearest step-free exit?” To which the man said “I can’t do that because I don’t know the property.” I ended up having to exit through the shutter as a car came in. This was very dangerous. I think you need to either offer clear directions to the step free exit or make sure disabled and parent drivers are aware there is no step-free exit before entering the carpark in their vehicle. On my return I walked around the entire building and found one step-free entrance. I then went to pay only to discover you have to go down a flight of steps to the pay machine! I had to leave my baby alone at the top of the steps in order to pay. Your staff need to be better informed and a LOT less rude and whole more HELPFUL.
