What an absolute shambles of a bank. Went in on a Saturday, not able to pay cash in as they don't offer this service at weekends apparently. All the automated machines were broken. Staff were rude to everyone, the man particularly, and customers irate. Now my local Uckfield branch has been closed this is the closest branch... 35 minutes drive away. Been banking with NatWest for 20 years. Time to close my accounts and move elsewhere I think..
The lady that dealt with me was super helpful. Think her name was Jo. She helped me close my RBS account and was really friendly and polite. We bonded over our banking experience and I left feeling really satisfied with my service. Thank you.
Staff are very friendly, helpful and informative in terms of queries. I would like to thank Christian who helped my mother and I; giving us advices, useful information and providing a welcoming atmosphere.
How can it be that so many reviewers here complain of staff rudeness, and yet it was still happening today? I cite the female acting as "Front of House" at around 1030 this morning - completely intolerant of any reasonable questions; directed me to a paying-in machine that was known by her to have issues where counting notes was concerned, directed me to another machine where a queue had now formed, and ten+ minutes later I had achieved what should have been the simple task of paying money into my account! Went in with cash, came out feeling like I'd just got a bag of nails. Makes one wonder if there is a manager here and, if so, what does he/she do all day? Could be directing traffic in TW for all I know given that whoever is responsible for that seems to have no sense of direction and no concerns for its visitors. Oh! - and since the place was "gutted" and "refurbished" several years ago, it now bears the resemblance of something little better than a "carpeted" public convenience in a power cut - more money wasted by those who know no better. Hang on... a One star rating? What was that for? Opening at 9 o'clock perhaps? Couldn't have been much else, based on today's experience ... ----- This review is in complete contrast to one I did approx.a year ago when I was served by THE most helpful clerk ever. Pity that such a style hasn't rubbed off on certain others. TWO DAYS AFTER MY VISIT HERE I HAD AN EMAIL ASKING ME ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE, TO WHICH I GAVE A CUT-DOWN VERSION OF THIS ACCOUNT.... IT THEN SAID "THEY MIGHT CONTACT ME" AND, GUESS WHAT...? CORRECT! THEY HAVEN'T.... WHAT A BUNCH OF FWITS.
I was greeted by a young girl who asked if she could help me . I said that l need to bank money at till as l didnt have a paying in slip and that it was a large amount of money and l started to queue . She said as she started to walk away she said fxxking hell l only wanted to help. I would rather she said " ok no problem " but she didnt
18/3/2020 how can you rate a business that has closed its Tunbridge Wells branch due to staff shortages and hasn't bothered updating its web site to inform its customers? Im not too bothered as im fit and well and can go back another day or travel to an alternative branch, but i am concerned for those that are elderly or unwell and have travelled specifically to the branch today. Siomply not good enough even in these diffcult times.
Staff could not have been more helpful when guiding me through the process and filling out the forms for a POA on my mother's account. Stress free!
From the lady who greeted me at the till to the young man who spent a great deal of time helping me download and use the correct app to make a foreign payment, their service was excellent and patient he was dealing with a techno phobe
