NATWEST. Not 'Scarborough' Went in and asked to speak to someone about buy-to-let mortgages. Managed to get to sit down and speak to someone in person, which is actually unusual now.
An impressive bank building, circa 1880 by local architects Hall and Tugwell in terracotta, French Flamboyant style. Listed grade II.
Only given 1 star . Because you can not give 0. Was in recently transferring from 1 account and was told the type of system i require was down. This meant i would have to pay a large charge. Querying this we manged to come to agreement with the helpful bank teller. How ever the manager can on the seen. What a poor attitude he had. I put it to him that if customers do not query things then nothing would be done . I dressed him down asked him to listen to customers. Would be back rhem up instead of doing what senior managment says goes. He did not give a monkey. The paying in machines have never worked correctly
I took some cash out of one of their cash machines and because I have a Monzo bank account I couldn't got there to get the notes changed to smaller amounts. Anyway when I asked a member of staff she understood and went and changed it into smaller notes for me.
Well staffed helpful bank just like all the others in the country, in the precinct so you have to walk there, there is no immediate car park though there are plenty of car parks in the area which you have to pay for even if you have a disabled badge, there are no steps to the entrance.
Wonderful customer service. We had been given incorrect information by RBS and the staff at Natwest managed to resolve the issue that wasn't even their fault and even sent us a lovely hamper to apologise for the inconvenience. Taryne was exceptionally helpful and she is a credit to the Natwest brand.
