26 SEPT 2023 I recently needed to reset my telephone banking due to my own stupidity and also make an international deposit. However, I was on holiday and therefore my only option was to do these transactions in a Branch near me. I therefore visited Bidefords Branch and was attended to by the most helpful courteous and friendly Sam. Not only did she take her time to assist me and resolve all my issues but introduced me and helped me apply and install a savings plan which suits me perfectly. I have only been with Nationwide a year and find this bank so helpful and clear in their assistance. Thank you Nationwide and a huge thank you to Bideford's Branch cashier SAM. Normally I have reasonable experience here but this morning I feel as if the guy was being really standoffish and stubborn and rude because I didn't do online banking with this bank. All I wanted was a statement from around 6 months ago but he double checked all my personal details, photographed my ID and did a hell of a lot of huffing about it. What was funny was I asked barclays the same request and it was no problem at all
Continue after literally years of the thing being useless; to keep their electronic money counting machine.... 4/5 times of using it it goes wrong, can't count money or just half of it and then have to queue anyway wasting more time. must be far more hassle than just employing one more person unbelievably frustrating..
I like this bank/building society, the staff are always helpful, but the opening hours are often unhelpful and inconvenient
Made to feel a nuisance about a ongoing situation lack of support and poor customer care only wish had tried Barnstaple branch as opened my account their and on few occasions being their staff were friendly and knew what they were doing unlike Bideford who just have no empathy or care at all!
I have used this Branch representing my now Deceased Father & elderly Mother for the last 5 years or so & I have found the staff caring, understanding & extremely helpful.
Wanted help transferring money and closing accounts only you be told to do it online. I don't go in Banks often at all and when i do i wonder why i bothered.
Staff are very helpful and polite.as a disabled person,I found the door and ramp very assessable.
We've been at nationwide 20yrs and they've always been very helpfull
Dreadful service usually only one counter open , Spoke to the manger and found her to be a rude unhelpful woman .
