I recently had to arrange a CHAPs payment and the team in the store could not have been more helpful.
Tried to call to make an enquiry that would have taken 5 seconds to answer. Was put on hold for over 30 minutes. Gave up. Poor show.
The staff don’t know their own banking systems! I was trying the make a series of transfers on successive days in branch but their standard advice was merely “you can set up the daily transfers yourself online, but we cannot do this in branch for you unless you come in every day!” but that was not feasible for me. Well, for the benefit of the staff in this branch, you CANNOT set up daily transfers online, as they suggested you could. The only options are weekly, monthly, 6 monthly etc. More staff training needed!!
Useless opening hours that are essentially only whilst the majority of the country are at work and then close just before work finishes. I never understand why most banks are still stuck in the 1950s when it comes to opening times, and then close the branches down blaming the limited number of customers who visit them.
no problems with service but with no Saturday opening, it leaves me unable to visit branch
Open 4 hours each weekday and CLOSED on Saturday. Hardly what you'd call providing a key service to the community. in these strange times.
OK as banks go. Reasonably friendly
