Not happy at all with the replacement, they replaced my A3 Saloon Windscreen, the 1st engineer used the same rain sensor gel from the old broken windscreen, you could see a lot of debris glasses. Called them and they asked me to come in, went there and they cleaned it ,put new gel in the rain sensor, the wipers kept coming on afterwards on a very sunny day, I think it because there were loads air bubbles in the sensor and not enough gel. Rang them again for the 3rd time and they asked to come back in. They replaced the gel again and I still have air bubbles which looks very bad and the guys said he can’t do anything about it so I decided to give up on them, only use them because of HastingsDirect. I would not recommend using them if you care about your car and want to keep the value up. It’s not worth the £115 excess I have paid to them.Service: Auto windshield replacement
First of all a chip in the windscreen was made worse by your operative, when challenged he said it was already like that. I had no alternative but to have the windscreen changed. To which end the housing above the rear view mirror was damaged and twisted, actually falling of the windscreen at one point! I have now placed the unit back somewhat precariously, leaving the mirror in a permanent position, unable to move it otherwise the housing comes apart and the wiring inside is exposed! I feel let down from start to finish. I wish I had brought my own contractors in to fit the windscreen, only using yourselves because it was specified by my insurance company. Booked online, called a few days before to pick a time slot. I arrived about 15 mins early, the screen was fixed and returned to me within 30 mins! Tremendously good customer service, there’s a large McDonalds over the road to wait, so no complaints, a cheap coffee and a read later and I’m done. I will certainly use them again, just a shame they are located in the town centre, so access to/from the motorway involved a lot of queueing traffic.
Changed windscreen and calibrated the camera within 1 and a half hours, quick service, friendly and helpful.
Called in Derby st, Bolton today to ask about a windscreen chip, they had 30mins free so I got it done in 15mins wait. Excellent and polite service from dad and lad.
Waste of time - couldn't get an appointment in less than a week! Not much use when your car is off the road because the cracked windscreen renders it unfit to drive lawfully.
