Zero stars if I could. Shambles. Had my tracking done here. Wish I hadn't. I turned up 15 mins early. Parked in a parking space. Went inside, got told I was too early and to go away until my time as they don't have enough parking. Strange that, I was actually in a space. But went away, came back bang on time. Tracking was done - and they had not centred the wheel. It's massively off centre. In fact, it's as far off centre as the ignition lock is - strange that, didn't do it with the steering wheel locked by any chance did you? Contacted them next day. Was told I'd need to try to get used to it as they are very busy and don't do readjustments. So contacted head office through their website, and have had no reply in 4 weeks. Attached photo was taken by crawling 100m up French's Avenue next to the kerb, this is how offset the wheel is to keep straight. The tyres are already showing signs of intense wear. Edit - only had a reply after leaving this review, they offered a refund. Photo added to show how far out the tracking was after this place did it.
From the start, Liam was incredibly helpful. Tyres for front wheels sorted on time and fitted without issue. The tracking felt off and Liam had a few attempts at getting this right until he was satisfied that the job was done correctly. Absolute legend and committed member of the team. He is a credit to National Tyres and is a well deserved manager of the team at the branch. Hearty thanks
I used National Tyres for a full service of my Mercedes. I had a seamless and smooth experience from drop off to collection. I would like to thank Jack for looking after me, providing honest and straightforward feedback. Happy to recommend and use again. Brilliant service from the team!
We had 3 kids in the car one of which is disabled and got a flat, we had no breakdown cover and it was almost 5pm on a Saturday. I sprinted to National which was half a mile away and they were closing as I arrived, although I still had to get back to my car and then snail it back they happily waited and saved the day. I don't know what we'd have done without them tbh. We'd probably still be sat there surrounded by kids having meltdowns. Top notch service
This place is a shambles. I have used this place for last 3 years and now the old members of staff have left this place is very bad. Booked my van in for a diagnostic check for a full report. Went there and van was wear I left it it, I'm sure they didn't carry out the test. Asked them for the paperwork and they couldn't provide it and later did with the paperwork saying there was no faults, there clearly was as my van wasn't starting properly. And many engine lights were showing. Few days later my van actually broke down and had to have AA out to sort it out. They carried out the diagnostic test and showed me there was many faults and couldn't understand why this garage was so bad. I am now awaiting a refund from this place. Spare your selve time and effort and go somewhere else. This garage is very bad and has gone down hill. Staff are rude and they don't care about your vehicle. I now use Georginas garage in Houghton Regis.
Had a great experience with the workers of this branch. Rang this morning due to nail in tyre and Kieran able to fit me in. Kieran was fantastic, great customer service, reassuring, very helpful with car / technical knowledge. Checked all tyres, gave a report of all three tyres and able to say which tyre has recently been changed. Thank you
Popped my car into Dunstable National Tyres. The garage has been around forever, and is local to me. Booked via Halfords for a DPF flush etc. The price was very competitive. Following its check-up and Flush, the car is running better than it has in years, with all lights/dash messages cleared re the particle filter.
Went here to have a alloy which I supplied changed and a new sensor fitted. The sensor has never worked and still have the same problem with the alloy which was buckled when I took it in. I have no doubt the alloy wasn't replaced and never got the other one back. Have taken it to another garage who also said it wasn't the new alloy. Got in touch with head office and got a phone call from a guy who was rude and condescending. The photos show the old alloy which is still in place and the new one i purchased.
I had my car done at the National Tyres in dunstable I just wanted some 4 wheel alignment. Staff did not seem in a good mood or happy to see any customer... One of the staff members started working on my car as he was working he was struggling to undo a bolt/screw I assume. Eventually he brought an flame tourch and starting burning/melting something which I could not see cause I was at distance. I assume he melted somekind of component made of plastic/rubber to access the screw/bolt/nut, now everytime I drive over a speed bump slowly... my right side makes a weird squealing noise... I went there to get my car a fix not make it worse... I mean overall the wheel alignment took only 15 minutes. There was no tire pressure check before to see if all tyres have same PSI. How can the car be balanced properly if you don't even make sure before you start that all tyres have same pressure?? Why would you use a flame torch to do a wheel alignment? Now I am concerned about the my safety while driving the car. Something made out metal could of been damaged/melted... the flame torch is very strong and can melt metal in a few seconds!!! I've done wheel alignments in the past none of them used a flame torch. Very disappointed
This morning I went to change one of my tyres to the Dunstable branch and as an online booking, there were free checks available, such as battery checks and break checks which I added to my booking. The man at the counter was very rude and insulted me that his words "you booked a teeny weeny tyre for less than 50 quid and booked 2 hours' worth of free checks" there were other customers' presents at the time. why do you offer these free checks if your garage can't do them? In the end, I asked just to do the battery check but he did not even do that even after I said I will wait. Terrible experience first thing in the morning. Because it was all pre-paid I had to listen to his rude words. Otherwise, I would go somewhere else. seriously bad customer service. won't be going there again. That man needed to be taught how to talk to customers, seriously he thought he could get away with talking to customers like that.
