We booked our Hyundai i800 in for a service and MOT through a special offer. They said the vehicle needed £1,100 of work to pass the MOT. I took it back a second time to get the work done and once this was complete they said they couldn't do the MOT itself because of the size/class of vehicle. We then had to take it to another garage for a small job they couldn't get a part for and to get an MOT. I raised concerns with Halfords via their customer services who ensured that this garage would look into it and contact us. It's been over a week now and they haven't. It's a shame as the new manager seemed really nice. I can't help but feel they recommended £1,100 of work knowing full well they couldn't complete or do the MOT. It was a lot of faff and very disappointing. We won't be using them again.
If I could add zero stars then I would. I booked our car in because of a coolant leek. Took it in at 8.30 in the morning as I was told then waited and waited and waited for a call, absolutely nothing. So gave them a ring only to find out that nothing had been done but please come in and collect it as they can make a temporary fix. Went and collected it only to discover that nothing had been done. What annoyed me the most was that there was not even a phone call from them. Utter garbage, avoid at all cost!
I've been here for the front and rear set Tyres Installation, not a very good experience. I will pay for the Tyres, wheel balancing and add up service of Wheel Alignment that is not been performed. My vehicle is dragging to left and my steering wheel is a little bit off center. They just put the machine and told me that the wheel is in center and no need for alignment because it was green on the machine.. and they didn't do anything on the supension.. i was waiting for them to do the drive test but no one is interested. The service advisor print the detail and in the paper checked on the alignment is OK.. well they told me to take it back if theres a problem. I lived in the Isle of Wight not in London i just been there because of my holiday. They should give extra effort on it because im traveling back home with my family.. i am not coming back again and they spam my email.. i felt cheated by the company. Now im paying for the tyres and services that is not performed.
Absolutely disgusted with this place, would give zero stars if I could. I ended up booking an MOT there because I was in Essex seeing my boyfriend and couldn't get to my normal garage and wish I hadn't even bothered. They took full advantage of the fact that I was a young woman with little knowledge of cars. They failed my car on a long list of issues, going so far as to make things up/add things that weren't even on the MOT and then tried to scaremonger me into booking in nearly a grands worth of work with them, including replacing an anti roll bar linkage joint that I had already had replaced. Luckily for me, I have family who knows a thing or two about mechanics and saved me from getting into debt over work that simply did NOT need doing. I will never use this garage again and encourage everyone to avoid at all costs. Absolutely disgraceful.
The worse experience, I’ve booked to change 2 tyres paying £215 with slot time reserved at 5:30 pm and I ve reached at 5:15 when they were telling me like my tyres didn’t arrived and my booking was cancelled due to no answer on my phone calls i haven’t received no calls, they were rushing to close down but I’ve seen my tyres laying down inside of garage, disgusted of this garage, lazy workers and no respect to customers !
All the negative reviews are 100% correct, please do not ever use this place. Car booked for wheel alignment at 8.30am only to be told it won’t be done until 1pm today and they are also overbooked. Staff suppose to be there at 8.30am and stood waiting in the reception until 8.45am when they actually turned up. Terrible service. Please don’t waste your time!
Poor customer service. National Tyres had good reputation but since Halfords became shareholder or partnership bad experience occurred. I made a claim through tyre warranty in the branch and the counter guy asked for Halfords tyre price way higher than the National Tyres website even though they are still trading under the National Tyres name.
I don't recommend mobile fitting, professionalism 0, I ordered 4 tires and they came home and mounted them on the car, when I took the car for testing, everything started to vibrate because the wheels were not balanced, those weights as you can see in the picture are not were replaced, they added more... very disappointed …
Last month had my front discs and pads replaced along with the rear pads, during the installation the fuse box lid was broken by the fitters, over the past couple of weeks we noticed a grinding noise from the car, booked it into Peugeot to get it investigated and it was down to a badly fitted shim on the rear off side, DO NOT use the old National Tyres now Halfords in Grays, I will be putting in a bill to their head office tomorrow EDIT I already sent an email to that address 6 days ago Ref: 22570390 Still waiting for a response Edit Still no response from either National Tyres or Halfords Customer Service
I ordered 4 tyres for my car on the 22nd of April for the tyres to be fitted on the 24th. I took my car in at 9.30 as it was booked for that time only for them to call me at 3pm to say the tyres did not arrive and I would have to come back the next day as they have re ordered the tyres. The next day on the 25th I had called customer service in the morning and told them the situation and they had confirmed the tyres are at the branch, they called the branch to confirm this before I took the car in at 11. Again around 3pm they called to say the wrong tyres have arrived. I had no choice but to take the cheaper ones and smaller ones as I had already lost out on 2 days of work. They have refunded the difference. But the point is the company is not consistent and I was given misinformation twice! Avoid at all costs.
