People tend to write only negative feedback but forgets about the positive one. Reading all those reviews I went there being prepared for mean behaviour but I the lady was so pleasant kind and understanding. Had no issues at all and left the place with a smile on my face :
Had appointment to get. Address change 11th October 2022 and middle aged blonde lady told lies. 1. I’d have my license within 15 days. Took 2 months to receive it 2. I went in and that same middle aged blonde lady rang someone and then she. Told me my license was processed when it wasn’t. This company is a disgrace. They take too long and lie to customers. The motor tax office were good at doing licences.
Left with a smile. I don't normally 'review' government services but the girl that served me was super friendly and I was in and out in 10 min.
I met the rudest person ever in this place. When I first arrived with my elderly father, we encountered this female member of staff rudely dealing with 2 Ukrainians with poor English looking to exchange their driving licences. She practically herded them out the door like cattle. When she realised we were early for my father's appointment, we were unceremoniously hunted out and told to come back at your allotted time, there was nobody there at the time I might add. Upon return, she dealt with my father. When she was finished with him I said to her, can I ask you a question...... her answer. "No, you don't have an appointment " I actually thought she was kidding. "Are you serious?" I asked. "You don't have an appointment, so I'm not answering your question" I commented to her, you should not be dealing with the public with that attitude, she just smirked and replied "that's such a wonderful compliment " The NDLS need to up their game if this is the calibre of staff they have dealing with the public.... more people need to complain, as I've heard since my visit, that she is known for her "politeness"
Rude staff. There are two females working in there and belong at home. I had two appointments, the first I was 5 mins late but it was the way the girl in the booth next to the office door spoke to me was appalling. "You wouldnt be late for a flight would you" Basic manners needs to be introduced. Like "Hello" they didnt speak, they barked at me. "Have you an appointment" in a tone and with an attitude. The other girl, far right of the office door. She had the same tone on my second appointment. I arrived 30 mins before my second appointment and I was told to leave the room as you can't wait here. The office was empty and they are not closed for lunch. Management would really want to do something with these two. Like get rid of them or put them behind the scenes.
In my whole life I have never been treated so poorly. The girl in the office was so rude and abrute about any question I had. This was supposed to be a joyous occation after coming to live in Ireland and getting my driving liicense but turn into a very upsetting and frustrating day. How anyone that has that kind of attitude works in a customer service job makes no sense to me. I will be making a full complaint to the RSA about this incident.
I normally don't leave written reviews but I felt this time I should. Prior to attending my appointment I heard and read a lot about the poor customer service by one particular person. Some of the comments below are pretty terrible and not something I'm accustomed too. However, my experience today couldn't have been furthur from this. The person looking after me was a pleasure to deal with and I got sorted within 10/15 mins. For everyone looking at these reviews, not all staff in the Ennis NDLS centre are terrible and hopefully the issues with the staff member mentioned in the other reviews gets sorted quickly.
Am a senior citizen and had a very unpleasant experience renewing my licence. The female in question has a very abrasive nature and not at all pleasant. This relates to the older person on duty. She might consider a course on human relations when dealing with the public.
I went to Ennis to change my driving license, the lady took three photos of me, I chose one, asked for the address so I gave it, she did not want a proof of address, and I did not get my driving license, when I called it turned out that they did not send because there was no address and I had to change everything, only after a month I got my driving license when I resubmitted it. and I didn't even get that photo, which was taken on my driving license but old from PPS
An elderly man, trying to see about getting his licence renewed was carelessly turned away with "book it online", when he clearly wasn't Internet familiar. Female staff member really gave a "Civil service", minimal effort mentality. Very disappointing to encounter.
