Flawless food and service. Home grown herbs and handmade chips, buns, sauces... quick and very polite service from the staff. Honestly flawless and the pub is just stunning. We sat in the garden out back which was covered in plants and trees with birds singing their hearts out. Stunning place to rest after a hike.
We booked for dinner and were lucky enough to find a table next to the lovely log fire. They let us stay there for our meal. The manager shared his ghost stories with us and the staff were great. Friendly and helpful. Our meal was good, really enjoyed it. Big hit for us.
The tastiest roast dinner I’ve had in a pub for a very long time! Rick our server was amazing, very attentive and great with the kids. Highly recommend this pub for food and service.
Soo disappointed in the meals at lunch ,I ordered the sea bass risotto and it came scollops so pale no colour at all like had been microwaved ,sea bass soggy skin prawns undercooked and risotto needed to be wet and creamy not bland and like packet rice , for 16.99 I expected better ,I told the waitress when she asked if all okay about the prawns and I wasn’t sure they were cooked as transparent and she just gave me a empathetic smile and went ! Won’t be going again and they weren’t busy only a couple more diners in but now it makes sense !! the fish dish’s noooooo!
Came to the nags last night and noticed they were holding a big charity event. Lovely atmosphere and think what they did was amazing . Such a warm welcoming environment and has such a family feel when you walk in. Food was lovely and service was to match. I heard a couple complaining regarding sitting in the bar drinking with a dog and it’s shame that the staff have to deal with things like this while busy and trying to give great service . Hats off to the team
Absolutely fabulous lunch with friends today. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful -one of my friends has celiac disease and so has to avoid gluten. The manager offered substitutions so that she could have a similar fixed price meal option to the rest of us. Entertainment was also fab with carols & Christmas tunes at a reasonable volume level so we could still chat or sing along. Cannot praise this pub enough, it really made our day. We will certainly be back.
Without doubt one of the best eateries in the area!! An extremely varied and tempting menu, with something for everyone. The staff are helpful, friendly and accommodating. The homely, warm and inviting atmosphere welcomes you and ensures your visit will be remembered, as you eagerly look forward to the next time.
There were 6 of us including one child. We had meals from the Sunday menue and 4 of us had dessert. All the food was delicious except for the pasta and meatballs off the kids menu which was dried up and hard. The staff were excellent and quickly changed it to fish fingers and chips. Prices were average for Sunday meal.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere for a quiet couple of drinks to round up my dad's 60th birthday celebrations last night. Friendly staff and lovely homely feel to the pub. Looking forward to returning some time soon.
In the function room for a beautiful wedding, everything displayed lovely nd staff friendly. 3 stars for drink price £11.50 for gin and a mixer, was really shocked. Not so pricey if your sticking to lager
