Absolute gem of a place. Lots of amazing cars all with info about them and their owners. Lovely lady proprietor who we had a smashing chat with too. Some iconic children's toys upstairs too. Much more inside than you would think. Inside the building is like a tardis with more revealed at every turn
This is an amazing small collection of vehicles and interesting signs, tins, models and other motoring and motor items. Amazing collection of bicycles too. Lady was lovely to talk too and loved the personal interest and hand written info on each item. A must visit museum.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Set off the main road, worth seeking out. There's a varied selection of automobiles, motorbikes, bicycles and other 'antiques' some very nice enamel signs hang on the walls too.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Beautiful little quaint museum with some incredibly well preserved gems of classic and veteran cars. Well worth the visit if in the area. First visited as a child in the 90s and still has the same charmVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Hidden Gem. Little off the beaten track and only plan for an hour but quite enjoyable. Perfect to wait out 45 minutes of summer shower. Four packed rooms of automotive history. Mainly uk-centric cars with some oldies actually built in Scotland. Most of the vehicles have a nice splash piece on their history. There is also a nice selection of old toy cars and some really interesting children's pedal cars. If you watch and enjoy TV like 'American Pickers' this place is a must. Tonnes of signage. Authentic patina and cobwebs, all very on the spirit. Not the best for disabled access, you are right next to the cars so manuvering would be tricky. The curator was very knowledgable and quite happy to talk to us about the vehicles. Obviously a well loved family museum. Perfect drop in on the way to or way back from an East Lothian beach/castle adventure! The boys even got a photo op in one of the oldies but they were given special permission! Don't climb on the vehicles unless a very nice member of staff says you can.
Great little museum. Loads of really interesting cars, bikes and motorbikes as well as lots of memorabilia. Many of the exhibits are donated by locals and are in unrestored 'survivor' condition which is great to see.
Absolutely amazing wee place tucked away in a quiet corner of East Lothian. Quite a collection of bikes, which I didn't expect as well as cars, motor bikes, and toy cars! Loved it.
Came upon this by chance while staying in nearby Gullane, its a fantastic little car museum ,on entering you think its really small but has 3 or 4 rooms of cars and an upstairs collection of parts and bikes etc. Only £6, worth every penny
Interesting selection of classic cars and car memorabilia. The price of £7 was reasonable but is cash only. Beware of the upstairs exhibit, the floor felt as though could give way at any second
Small but interesting museum with a few rarities, including some Scottish built vehicles. Well worth a visit and reasonable entrance prices, though you'll be round in about an hour, unless you have a particular interest.
