I've sent both of my daughters to my first friends and can never express how grateful I am to all the wonderful staff that work here. My eldest daughter was always very shy and the thought of sending her to nursery terrified me but the staff at my first friends reassured me and within no time my daughter loved it here. I watched her blossom and learn so much in such a short space of time. The nursery were quick to help with her potty training and always kept me updates whenever I collected her from nursery. The staff assisted with her transition from nursery to reception and helped build my daughters confidence hugely. From starting nursery to leaving, my daughter was such a different child! Full of confidence, she had so many friends and had learnt so much! I now send my youngest daughter to this nursery and from the moment I sent her I saw her develop immediately. She was stringing sentences together, her speech improved, her creativity widened and her maths and English came on wonderfully. I honestly couldn't think of a better nursery to send my children to. The staff are caring, helpful and go above and beyond for each child!
Facilities are good and a great space for children however they seem to have a massive issue with over-crowding in pre-school with too little staff on at a time in comparison to how many children are in the classroom at a time. The staff are 50% made up of teenagers themselves and all staff seem to have an issue with not taking responsibility for any incidents that occur on their shifts. During my child's time at pre-school i witnessed multiple occasions where children hit other children and the staff just shrugged the incidents off, using the 'kids will be kids' excuse. If you're looking for a pre-school that will get social services involved any chance they get as soon as your child has a slight bruise on their head, regardless of you explaining how they got it. Then this is the place for your child. This nursery makes out like they care about the well being of your children but seem to be above their own rules. Management doesn't seem to know how to manage
My son has settled really well at this nursery after changing from another provider due to a move of home. He has been at My First Friends for many months now and really enjoys it. The staff in his group are very constant and always very helpful and knowledgeable. I have had some really good advice when my son has been going through some difficult stages. He has learned a lot from nursery and has a lot of fun. Also, the facilities are fantastic such as the interactive screen. I have great confidence in this nursery and the staff who I really can't praise enough. The outside space is really big which is great for toddlers who need to let off steam. Overall, I can't fault this nursery which is great peace of mind.
Our daughter has come on leaps and bounds since going to My First Friends Nursery. Her confidence has soared, her social skills and independence has significantly improved. The staff are friendly and go above and beyond to make the children happy and settled, providing exciting and educational activities throughout the day. The outside facilities are great with a play area and vegetable patch etc. The wide range of meals provided are of good nutritional balance and has encouraged our daughter to enjoy new tastes. As parents a safe environment is priority number one and overall we couldn’t be happier with the nursery and would recommend to anyone.
This is a wonderful nursery and our daughter loves attending. Staff are really caring and friendly, and our daughter has built such a lovely bond with them. We notice her skills developing each and every time that she goes there, and we know that we are leaving her in safe and caring hands. We cannot recommend this nursery enough.PositiveQuality
We would highly recommend My First Friends Nursery in Rubery. Our daughter has been attending since May when she was 11months and has made great progress in all areas. All the staff without exception have been amazing. They are all friendly, approachable, supportive, fun and positive whilst remaining professional at all times. I have no concerns when dropping our daughter in their care and she loves attending. The Nursery have been flexible in accommodating my shift pattern and keep us informed daily with our daughters progress via an app. I again would like to highlight what a relief it is to find such an outstanding Nursery.
My two year old and one year old started at My First Friends in September 2017. My experience has been nothing short of fantastic - my daughters love going to nursery and have made huge strides in their development. The staff are friendly, welcoming and more than willing to speak to me anytime about how they are getting on. Transition between rooms has been effortless and the girls have been given settling in time before making the jump to their next stage. Feedback is constructive, detailed and allows me to have a clear understanding of how they are getting on. When looking for a nursery for my daughters I wanted somewhere that felt warm and comfortable and My First Friends has this. I have recommended the nursery to friends already and look forward to my girls continuing their time there. A fantastic nursery with wonderful staff.
My daughter has been attending this nursery for almost 4 years and we have found it to be excellent. The building itself is fab, large rooms, and fantastic outside space. The staff are all excellent. Each member who we have dealt with have been very professional, friendly, and caring. Everyone is so approachable. Recently they’ve introduced an app where you can access your child’s learning and development from your mobile phone or tablet, along with the days activities and meals, which has been so useful. I honestly can’t fault this nursery and we’ll be sad to say goodbye when our daughter leaves for school in September. Highly recommend
My daughter has been coming here since Sep 2017 and absolutely loves it. The staff are all welcoming, there is loads for the kids to do with a big open space outside for them to run around in. There is a wide range of activities that the kids participate in, my daughter is always coming home with something she's made at nursery. The communication between the nursery and parents is excellent, the app on your phone is a brilliant idea. Would highly recommend My First Friends to anyone!
Since my daughter has attended this nursery she has developed so much in her learning. The staff are fantastic at the nursery, they have so much time for parents and listen to them and always put the children first in everything. My daughter's cultural and dietary needs are always took into consideration at all times . I feel so at ease , knowing my daughter is being well looked after .The app is amazing too, you can track your child throughout the day to see what they have been doing , and if you phone up at any point in the day the staff are always happy to talk to you and give you additional information regarding your child. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone who is looking for a great nursery .
