Butterfly Day Nursery has been caring for children aged 0-5 in Erdington and surrounding areas for 30 odd years. We have free places for 2,3 & 4 year olds!

Story

Butterfly Day Nursery has been serving Erdington, Pype Hayes, Walmley, Gravelley Hill, Castle Vale and surrounding ares with quality childcare for nearly 30 years. Even today we still stay true to our mission “to provide a happy, homely and stimulating environment in which children can thrive emotionally and educationally through planned and spontaneous activities.

Our primary aim is to nurture happy and confident children who are interested in all they see, hear and do, whilst giving them the best possible start in life.

It’s no wonder Ofsted say “Children's independence is well-promoted as they enjoy a range of carefully planned activities. This provides them with good preparation for their move into full time school. Staff encourage children to become gradually accustomed to their new environment and this ensures children fell safe and secure”.

We’ve had our say, so why not come and visit us, see us and our children in action. We have an open door policy so there’s no need for appointments, simply knock and enter!

We would absolutely recommend this nursery to anyone! All of my children have attended during their early years and we have received the most caring treatment throughout their time here. The staff are attentive, caring and professional at all times. The owner is super helpful and has gone out of his way to accommodate for any allergies or other requirements. Both the indoor and outdoor environments are filled with stimulating resources to keep children occupied. Thank you for taking care of our little ones, we have made many beautiful memories here!
Family run Nursery with the loveliest of staff. My two youngest children have attended here. The Owner and his wife are truly wonderful people along with the Manager and all the staff. Great welcoming atmosphere, staff are enthusiastic and genuinely care about the children. It’s like an extension of home. Good facilities, effective communication and I know my children are safe and cared for in their capable hands. Trust is very important for parents when looking for childcare provisions and I feel the fact that this is family run makes a real difference. Keep doing what you’re doing. The preschool graduation ceremony was beautifully done. You’ve created some very happy memories for my children! Xx
Coming out of Covid with minimal exposure to the outside world my twin daughters needed something that felt like home. And Butterfly Nursery game them just that. A warm, friendly and homely environment for my daughters. We chose them over another nursery nearby as we found Butterfly much cleaner, better organised with well maintained facilities. They have a diverse, caring and understanding staff who can cater to varying needs of children in their early years and knowledge of multiple languages was a bonus. A good range of stimulating toys and activities with healthy meal options. They gave my twins a great start in preparation for nursery. Would certainly recommend. Thank you for being so awesome.
If Carlsberg did Nursery’s this is the place. Friendly staff, Great facilities and apparently the Pizza is good too. 2 children have attended over the years and both have fond memories. Maybe see you again with Grandchildren
Would recommend this nursery. Staff are very friendly and easy to get along with. Being a former staff member, I enjoyed working there, I worked well with the other staff members, The staff worked really well with each child in their care, helped and supported me a lot during my time there. Couldn’t be more accommodating for my little girl!!! Really impressed!! Thoughtful, caring staff.... highly recommend and this is coming from an over protective momma! My little girl 16months loves the staff and has settled in great.... such a relief! The tapestry app I can’t get enough of..... I get sent updates of how she is doing throughout the day, and time is spent at the end of the day to up date you of how she’s done that day, it’s not rushed and you can tell it’s genuine feedback! Staff are fantastic! Even painting a mural of peppa pig on the window and buying in peppa pig books to put a smile on her face! My little girl asks about dan dan Danielle most weekends....says a lot. Honestly if your looking for childcare 100% worth a viewing.... when my husband and I looked round I instantly got that feeling we were doing the right thing! Jade was really welcoming and genuine, down to earth, as was the owner we didn’t realise he was the owner until we were leaving.... too busy talking about his kids but again down to earth... I’m writing this in detail as it’s the most important decision we have made and it’s the right decision.... if I can ease another mums choice in childcare it’s worth it as I know how difficult it was finding that right one!
