Staffed by incompetent staff members that won’t even warn you that the sauna is closed even though you tell them you are going for a sauna. The health suite needs completely redone, the floor tiles are in a terrible state with mold and fungus growing out of the grout lines. This is also the case in some areas of the steam room and jacuzzi, the seating in the sauna is very uncomfortable with uneven bits of wood digging into your back.
Hadn't been there in a while, so was surprised when I asked for my usual senior citizens admission to the pool to be told in no uncertain terms by quite a surly receptionist that there are no concessions. I reluctantly paid and must say I had a nice quiet swim. Luckily I can swim as the lifeguard spent most of the time scrolling through her phone.nOn leaving the pool I noticed one of the attendants was in the steam room chatting to a customer. I thought that a bit odd.nAlso odd was that the cafe was closed at lunchtime. Luckily, the receptionist had a large tin of Quality Street chocolates to munch through, while waiting for the next unlucky customer.
This is a great local sports centre with swimming pool , sauna and steam room and a great jacuzzi that is now working! Hurrah ! I like going here as it’s easy for me to get to via public transport, it’s doesn’t cost the earth to get in for the swimming pool and health suite, the opening hours are great, staff are friendly and helpful it’s ideal !! However .. and I really hate to say it but it needs a really good clean . Get some decent cleaners guys ! Preferably with good eyesight because the cleaning is all that lets this place down and unfortunately I’m not alone in my opinion here . Come on guys .. please clean it better . It’s gotta be healthy ! Other than that it’s great .
Rude staff as soon as we walked in we politely were talking the girl who was at the reception was talking rudely giving me and my partner snide looks I was extremely dissatisfaction as this is my first and impression I hope no one gets to experience this discomfort
First, suggestion: Please introduce men-only and women-only hours for the health suite apart from the regular universal access. Many members prefer to use these facilities with single sex access. So, it won't harm if you introduce 2 hours per day only for men and 2 hours only for women.nnWhat's great:nGym machines, Fitness classes of wide variety, Friendly coaches, and accessible + usually clean facilities all at affordable pricennWhat's not so great:nNo single sex hours. No hair dryers in changing rooms and poolside are working. Also, it'll help if they open 6am to 9:30pm daily, consistently.
