We brought our 6 month old son here when he became ill during a holiday. All of the staff are a credit to this hospital. Yes we had a wait, but it was considerably less than if we had been at our local hospital. All of the staff were friendly despite the full waiting room and several people asking how much longer they might need to wait. As well as the triage nurses they had a sister out in reception triaging patients who was so lovely and reassuring to everybody. A really nicely run unit. Thank you
I came in yesterday for a procedure, nothing major but it required a general anaesthetic. Cannot fault the staff and team involved. They were amazing, from the reception team, to the doctors, to the nurses. Thank you for such wonderful care.
I was unfortunately taken ill with severe pain while on holiday nearby. I was directed to attend Musgrove A & E by 111. From the moment I entered the department I was overwhelmed by the kindness & professionalism of all the staff - from receptionists, nurses, HCA’s & doctors. Yes, I had a wait as they were obviously busy but the care I received really was 1st class. I had to return to the emergency assessment clinic the following morning for further tests & again I was treated with great care & professionalism. I was blown away by their caring attitude & felt so grateful. Thank you so much from one very satisfied patient.
Car parking reasonable, easy access to sections of hospital, though M&S cafe was shut on a Saturday… a bit odd.. surely missing out there?? Coffee out of a automated machine is wrong in my experience.. lovely receptionist in the Breast Care centre and comfy waiting room.. also the 2nd level and upwards of the multi storey car park was shut too… are there no people poorly at the weekends?
My 78 year old Father was diagnosed with sepsis and we were told to call an ambulance to get him to hospital ASAP. The ambulance call handler informed us that it would be over 8 hours of more before the one NHS Austin Allego ambulance could be started! so we were asked to take him on the bus, or drive him. We were then instructed to drive him over 90 miles to Musgrove park hospital. Upon our arrival treatment would begin to control the infection, and a vascular procedure would also take place. We have been here for eight hours! My father was sat under a poster saying “sepsis every second counts” He sat under this poster, with sepsis for over three hours before being moved to a different chair, above which was a poster saying “we understand how you are feeling” He was the. Moved to a bed, but still not treated….. and now we are told that it could be a further five hours before he is treated. And the hospital is filthy… I’ve been sat in the same area for several hours and no one has cleaned, what is a very dirty area All the staff walk around texting on their phones, it’s a disgrace, it truly is.
Could not fault the staff, they were amazing. On holiday nearby and unfortunately had to bring my 3 month old into A&E twice as recommended by 999 and was given excellent treatment by all staff who helped, 3 especially who not only made sure my son was 100% but also reassured me when I was getting Anxious.
mockery.. they only give you sugar just to get rid of you.. I have been there whit a friend who cam in England to visit me.. he needed some kind of surgery.. they give antibiotics which have no positive effect.. so we go back for surgery after few days. After surgery he came out just whit the surgery.. and no advice how to treat the surgery, how to clean it, how to behave, and no meds at all anyway after surgery THE DOCTORS FORGET AN MEDICAL BANDAGE inside the patient... This is mockery how the hospital treated an foreign. I pay tax in this country.. for this kind of hospitals.. very disappointing
I think I’d rather suffer at home than ever experience the rudeness of any of the NHS Staff here again. And these people want a pay rise? For what? Taking over 8 hours to put fluids in my arms and was given no paid relief in the mean time even though I was visibly loudly crying in pain in waiting areas. I had a cannula in my arm for over an hour for no reason and my whole arm was bright blue which over 20-30 nurses/doctors walked past and visibly saw not a single person asked if I was ok. It wasn’t until I called my mum in distress telling her to get my Nan to sue for neglect someone walked out the office right in front of me to ask if I’m ok! Even though I had been sat outside this room for over an hour loudly crying in pain. How can I have my blood taken and not a single person in the room spoke to me? If you don’t like your job quit. Expect a pay cut not a pay rise. Everyone’s attitude made my illness a million times worse so thanks for that.
Great ambulance service earlier this last evening Monday, while staying near junction 25 of m5 motorway, for my brother as normal! the ambulance crew were very friendly and understanding, many thanks again too jenny and Ben working at musgrove Park hospital all!! N. hayward Gloucester
Having read some of the reviews it must be a different hospital to the one I visited, a lot of confusing consultations and Five , yes Five cancelled operations, all in favour of Romanians or other people freeloading off the NHS all at my expense!! I have waited 5yrs for treatment , I'm now told that I will not be treated at Musgrove, I probably need to go to Romania as they are over here. Oh! by the way if you ask for help they fob you off WELL DONE!! No Hope Service.........
