The tour of the lighthouse is great! Well presented commentary, interesting exhibits and great view from the top you get to go outside. Amazing that the tower was originally part of a castle.nThe only wait is for the tour time/ people to gather.nToilets available.nSome gorgeous souvenirs.nInteresting museum if you’re into lighthouses, their history, builders and the people who operated them now automated
We paid £11 for a ticket that gives you access to the museum, as well as a 45 minutes tour of the lighthouse yes, you get to go to the top of it!. Michael was our tour guide and he is extremely knowledgeable about the history of the lighthouse, as well as the roles of a lighthouse keeper.nnWe got to see the mechanics of the old lighthouse lamp, and step outside at the top of the lighthouse to get a great view!nnThe museum is also interesting as we got to see the actual magnifying glass used for the lighthouse, and many other historical artifacts related to the history of the lighthouse.nnOverall, extremely satisfied for the price we paid! So do not hold back visiting the museum!
I think the admission price was well worth it. The mesume had lot of fun things to look at, I enjoyed the picture hunts they had may have been for the kids but I enjoyed them Leaned alot about lighthouses. It was amazing going up into the actual lighthouse and seeing how things work. Tour guide was also very nice and informative. Highly recommend taking the tour.
One of the best museums I’ve been so far. 11£ for access to the museum and also a guided tour to the lighthouse which also provides access to views of the sea and the city! Staff was very engaging, informative and friendly. Worth every penny.
A lovely museum! The tour of the lighthouse was amazing and detailed - our guide was very informative and answered lots of questions. The actual museum is very interesting and hosts a lot of artefacts
