For a small, community type museum, run by volunteers, place is excellent. It shows how the joiner's workshop, along with the smithy, were central to community life up until the early part of last century. There are also interesting information boards about the conservation village of Fordyce itself, with it's historic kirkyard and lovely pink castle. My friend's children loved being able to touch some of the exhibits, and I can't wait till mine are old enough to join one of the woodworking or stone carving workshops. And my father-in-law likes to sit in front of the open fire and enjoy a coffee!
