Story

Murrays is the oldest Established seafood Restaurant in Cowes which is situated on the High street in between the Yacht Haven and the Red Funnel Pontoon.

Serving fresh local seafood, simply cooked with the all the freshest ingredients and complemented by a fine wine list, in comfortable and pleasant surroundings.

The restaurants front dining room seats 20-30 guests with tables joined together for large numbers.

The rear dining room seats 24-36 guests. By joining the various tables together the capacity of this room can be increased to accomodate larger yacht crews.

Catering Afloat or Ashore

We can supply you with your breakfast and lunch requirements for any occasion This Could be a simple lunch, a more substantial packed lunch, or a breakfast and lunch package.

We also offer Crew Pots and Buffet Lunches!

Very nice seafood restaurant! The lobster is great and the oysters are fresh, the steak and fried whitebait are also very good, but the smoked salmon is so-so. I recommend to try the two main course set for per person by 28 pounds.Food: 4/5
We’ve ordered one plate of scallop salad and the 2 course set menu for ourselves with fish soup/fried pepper squid as a starter and coley fish/smoked haddock as main. The scallops are pan-fried in a nice way but the quality of itself isn’t the best I’ve ever tried and it’s quite pricy as well. We liked both the starter and the coley fish, the haddock is a bit salty because of the cheesy topping but it’s not too bad.
One of the best fish meals we have ever had. The service was prompt, attentive and very friendly and the food was outstanding. Two of us had the whole sea bass which was sublime but everything else was equally good. We didn't have any desserts but I am confident they would have been excellent. Not the cheapest but worth every penny!
We had a very lovely dinner. Though it was a bit busy by the time we came -- having our orders served a little late -- the dishes were amazing. The steak and salmon was one of the best dishes served. Creme brulee was my favorite among the desserts we had. Staff were fine. Checking us everytime. And since it's a seafood menu on the island, it comes with a bit of a price. But all in all, will come back for more!
Relaxed atmosphere, very friendly & efficient staff all family members and the food was delicious. If you love fish or vegetarian dishes, you can't leave Cowes without visiting Murrays. Best to book as it's very popular and not a massive place.Food: 5/5
Enjoyed our dinner. Seafood was fresh. Preparation was unfussy but to the point. Fish soup was a little under salted but we were able to season it to our liking with the salt on the table. White bait was nice and plump. The crab and avocado salad was well portioned. Did not take a picture of the Smoked Haddock and the Plaice we had. They were both good. The Clotted Cream Ice Cream was good.
We went there twice during our holidays on the Isle of Wight. The food was amazing, it was very fresh and delicious. I had a half of boiled lobster and vegetables, my husband had a cod in lobster&tiger prawns sauce. All Covid rules are in place and the service was really nice.
