Story

Our restaurant/cafe is owned by local man George Hanna, and offers spectacular woodland views whilst you dine. Set in beautiful surroundings, in Seaforde, Downpatrick, on the main Belfast to Newcastle Road, our restaurant has the very best of local produce on offer. We are very passionate about our food and proud of our business and our well dressed, friendly staff are here to welcome you.

Lovely place. Staff very pleasant and helpful. We were the only ones left in the restaurant but the staff didn't make us feel rushed in any way though I'm sure they were wanting to get home!

Absolutely one of the best places I've been to for food, atmosphere great, crack good, worth visiting taking time to share a meal with someone and chill out.

I have eaten here on 2 occasions; both were extremely disappointing. The basic "home-style" dishes on the menu are okay, but stay clear of anything even vaguely exotic. The venison was like eating cardboard, very over-cooked; and the chef doesn't know the difference between a rare and a very well done steak. 
The service is extremely poor, one waiter in particular has no concept of customer service; he obviously does not want to be there, lacks all social skills, never mind basic customer service. If you are seated upstairs the decor is reasonable cafe standard, but basic cleanliness is lacking. Overall, it definitely was not worth the money; very basic cafe standard food, and City restaurant prices.

In the evenings it offers good quality bistro style food skilfully cooked by local owner/chef. Excellent value for money as you can take drinks of your own choice with no corkage charge. 

Restaurant and facilities are always spotless and parking fairly easy. 

Portions are generous and I always eat more than I really should! 

By far away the most reliable and pleasurable restaurant to visit in the Downpatrick area.
