We absolutely LOVED our stay at Muckrach Country House Hotel!! The hotel was just beautiful, both inside and out! We stayed in the Cairngorm room and it was amazing. I'm already missing those heated bathroom floor tiles! The staff was so kind and attentive, without being overly so. (It's always awkward when hotel staff is TOO concerned about you and seems to hover, but the staff here let us do our own thing and was always there if we needed them.) We loved the facilities so much, we spent a lot of time just enjoying the space there, reading in the library or relaxing by the fire in the drawing room. We could have easily stayed another 3 or 4 days, there is so much to do within driving distance of the hotel. We are already trying to figure out when we can come back and visit again!

We had a fantastic evening with a 12 person dinner party in a private room. Excellent food in a beautiful building. Staff were warm and welcoming. Splendid evening!

Amazing place to stay. Contemporary take on traditional-themed Scottish decor. Yummy food and excellent customer service. I love going here even just for a meal.

Lovely country house, food was fantastic and the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Really appreciated the whisky selection and the managers knowledge of them.

I visited this fine establishment on 18th December with my wife and sister in law who came to visit from South Africa. My wife had been eager to show her this hotel as we'd had a very pleasant experience on our previous visit. We ordered from the xmas lunch menu and were served cold soup. We ordered tea and the cups that came through were stained with lipstick , my sister in law sent them back. We were served with dirty cups and teapot, served cold soup and when we got home my wife was ill from the salmon sandwich she had eaten there. What a disappointment. Never going there again!
