If you think you’re good with flat pack building think again. I have never known a piece of furniture with as many components. Ordered the Calder which in our opinion is an awful, poor quality bed. The slightest knock damages the melamine and we all know kids aren’t so careful with stuff. Cheap and nasty. Wish I’d waited for the Swedish store to get their bed back in stock. Might get a couple of years out of it before we’ll need to replace. And then I imagine we’ll need to take a sledge hammer to get it back down.

Really really happy bought a high sleeper bed for my son. Delivery took about 11 days in total. The price was great and the item looks superb once built pretty easy instructions to follow, the delivery driver contacted me 2 days prior to delivery to confirm a delivery slot. Overall very happy and my son loves his new bed. Thanks

I'm giving my review based on the company & the delivery person. The item was delivered a day outside of the 15 days quoted. Fair enough 1 day is nothing really, however, no update between ordering or delivery is a bit irritating tbh. Communication with the customer, at least a week after delivery, just as a 'touching base' kinda thing wouldn't go amiss. The delivery driver turned up before 9, not a massive issue but with it being the Easter holidays, it was a bit unexpected as I was only informed of the day, not a rough time. To say the delivery driver got up on the wrong side of the bed was an understatement. He pretty much grunted his way through delivering 8 individual boxes, which weren't light! Barely making much sense or being polite. I don't even remember him saying thank you or any real pleasantries. An email of the instructions to the bed we picked wouldn't go amiss either. It is almost impossible to build using the instructions provided. It could be made far easier & simplified, leaving unecessary/none essential bits, to when they are required rather than right at the front. The instructions assume you have eons of space, when the reality is, if you are buying this high sleeper (Calder) you don't! You need to make sure you have plenty of time to build as it took us 5 hours to build 1 bed! Part of the second bed was damaged slightly, however, because it was such an a*** building the first bed, we decided not to bother reporting it, plus, after 3 weeks of my son sleeping on just a mattress, we weren't bothered with a smidge of damage. I don't think I'd buy this bed again tbh. You need at least 3-4 people on hand to help & at least a week to study the instructions & determine what part of the build is most important, to avoid running out of space. You may also want to add additional bits of 2x4 to the steps, they are positioned so the narrower edge is what you step on. This really should be the other way around. We will be buying additional 2x4 to widen the tread.

After reading mixed reviews, I took the decision to order a high cabin bed for my son (10). His room is very small and the design with wardrobe and desk built in was ideal. The delivery was made after 7 days from ordering which was great, as they had quoted within 15 working days. Delivery was great, the delivery man called day before, and then called on the day to let me know when he would be here. Whilst waiting for the delivery, I emailed and requested a copy of the assembly instructions and was provided with a copy, for those who had Customer Service issues, I had no issues at all with Customer service. Having the instructions early, helped, as I could familarise myself with the instructions and have everything ready. Delivery came, and it took approx 4-5 hours to put together. Some say you need a big room to put it together, but I managed in a tiny room. Odd occasions you will need a second person. People have complained about being able to move it into its correct position, but again no issues at all moving it. Quality seems very good, the base of the bed is made of two large sheets which I was worried may buckle, but seem completely fine. I have given 4 out of 5 starts, as I do not think the drawers are the best quality and do not think these will last long with heavy use. Other then that, very happy and would recommend!

We bought the shortie high sleeper bed. It was delivered within about 2 weeks and the driver agreed to ring before arrival so we didn’t have to wait in all day. The assembly looked daunting at first but went together well and the instructions were pretty clear. The finished product is great and my 7 year old daughter is very pleased with it. I called customer service to request an extra peice of trim for one edge and this was quickly agreed. Very good value product.
