Unbelievable. The picture shows a 'large salad bowl' in a miniscule container half the size of a small coffee cup. £7.50 and they make you pay first so not even a chance to change my mind. Will never, ever go again. No wonder it's always dead. Ripping people off in this climate is shameful. Photo clearly shows sticker of where this is from after owner responded to pretend it wasn't them
I love this place. The food is both interesting and delicious, and the vibe is cool. The missus and my daughters try to eat here once a week if possible. Now, in this winter, you have to dress warm as there's little or no heating due to uncapped business energy rates, but they have blankets scattered around. It's entirely worth it.Food: 5/5
This café is located in a rather commercial and industrial-looking area. One of the warehouse-type buildings was the home to this café. Parking was extremely limited, so we had to park on a street just a little bit away. It was nice and roomy in the inside, with comfortable seats. Lots of greens everywhere making this large, open space to be more homey and welcoming. They offer a simple weekday breakfast, weekend brunches, light lunches and afternoon teas. The display all looked very appetizing. They also have a selection of coffee, tea, and other beverages. We got a Cappuccino and Flat White, they were pretty nice cups of coffee, strong with great aroma. For breakfast, we all went with Quiche. I took the last Tomato, Basil, Pecorino, and Mozzarella Quiche, and the other two went with Mushroom, Camembert, and Basil Quiche. The quiche was very tasty! Soft yet sturdy crust that crumbles in your mouth, with a soft and fluffy filling, being gently cuddled in there. The ingredients were all fresh and nice quality. We had a pleasant, peaceful, and relaxing breakfast here. The staffs were nice, and they will leave you alone unless you need something. The coffee and food were very tasty with good quality. And if you need any used coffee grounds for fertilizing your garden, health & beauty tricks, odor control, or whatever else you can use them for, they have them out by the door for you to grab!
Popped in for lunch on Sunday for something different and had what they called an Omni box which was a mixture of chicken, salad leaves, kale, cooked rice, the crispest chicken skin I’ve ever had and a couple of other little bits. Probably pretty healthy in terms of ingredients and very tasty so it hit the spot. I followed this with a bit of cheese cake and a latte both of which were exceptional. Interior is very nice inside with relaxing music think it was like jazz, you wouldn’t think it was an industrial estate unit, even sitting outside was pleasant. Well worth another visit especially for the deserts and coffee.
The best I can say about this cozy cafe is that it is the best place to enjoy a healthy but very tasty meal, indulge in a baked-in-store piece of cake and try the tea. It's like being welcomed to our Nan's house, where the smell of yummy food is always present and there's someone cooking for you. All staff not old enough to be a Nan, by the way are superb, welcoming and so friendly! Prices are quite reasonable and in line with the quality of the food and the coffee is very tasty. The ethos of the cafe seems to be uphold easily by the staff, with fresh produce, organic ingredients and, when possible, recycling materials even for the takeaway boxes and with cute vintage plates and cutlery to eat in. Decoration is a must to make you feel somewhat like at home, comfortable and relaxed. Every time I have been here there was always some light jazz playing, a top choice for a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended if you enjoy good quality food and service!
Mrs B's Kitchen Cafe is an absolute Must visit. The best selection of salads, quiches and freshly cooked delights. Cakes always fab and the coffee is great. All tastes catered for. Today fresh from the oven Salmon Quiche with Roast peppers & miso aubergines with chickpeas and mixed leaves. Lovely relaxed atmosphere all provided by a great team. Katie p having been to this cafe I can say truthfully unlike yourself that your food is NOT I REPEAT NOT MRS B'S clearly your a liar and to do what you have done is disgraceful plus it won't take long for people to realise and find out where you got this food from and as for not going back how can you not go somewhere you have OBVIOUSLY HAVE NEVER BEEN!! YOU'RE A DISGUSTING PERSON SHAME ON YOU!! I know Mrs b and I've been to this establishment a while ago but due to a stroke its been a while but she and her lady's do lovely food and tea etc and I know that this is not her food! Mrs b ignore this Katie p obviously jealous of your business.
Very nice and healthy food. Service was good. It was just a bit cold inside, so may be heating during cold weather can be increased!
Brand new addition to the Newbury independent scene. This space is stunning - beautifully designed and thought out. It's open plan, with the addition of a function room and working space upstairs. The coffee is outstanding - they have a choice of milk including coconut, it was served strong and very hot. I did not eat on this occasion, but the place was full and everyone seemed to clear their plates! I will be back!
Fantastic! Hot chocolate was the best one i have had! I would come back again!
