Looked for somewhere last minuet to do my MOT and this was the only place avaliable Portsmouth branch for the times I was free. Very accommodating, went above and beyond if anything. delt with the manager mister G. very friendly guy, hung around for way longer then i needed to be just chatting away lol. They manged to do the repairs to my car alot quicker then expected. Great service
It’s very rare to find genuine garages and ones that do a thorough job. Ian and the team were incredible and still are, I am not taking my car anywhere else from now on. Trust is everything when it comes to cars. They found things not even the BMW specialists picked up on! Amazing
I would highly recommend this Garage. I have a company Large van. I took it to local main Renault dealer total disgrace. Came back missing a hub cap possibly from a so called inspection at £180.??? Not fixed . Took it to Mr Clutch. Excellent professional experienced team. Jason Manager very polite and helpful. Phoned me & kept me in loop re large Clutch replacement. A fast efficient professional service. I will now take all company vans there. Excellent.
Amazing customer service and work ethic!, I’ve been a mechanic for 15 years and have seen both sides of the trade. I’ve always been nervous of my own end of year MOT/Service costs by other garages. But I can truly say I’m happy with this garage honest professionalism. I’ve had a clutch fitted here, MOT, suspension and service work, the staff even helped with booking me in as I travelled the world. I came back and was amazed with the genuine hospitality, I collected my car and it’s brilliant! Thanks guys
I was experiencing problems with the clutch on my Audi TT, I phone Mr Clutch and made an appointment to take the car into them, I dropped it off and awaited the phone call, the manager phoned me to inform me that the clutch was absolutely fine but the problem was a pipe to the clutch leaking fluid, it was very expensive to replace over £300 but that was the problem, I asked if he had checked the clutch and he assured me he had and it was fine, So I went and pick up the car paying the invoice of well over £300 asking to see the old leaking pipe only to be told he had already disposed of it, I also asked if he had test drove my car and he said he had and it was absolutely fine. With in 10 miles I was back at square one again with the clutch, I took the car back the next day Saturday morning at 08.30 when they opened, only to be met with a very rude and borderline aggressive manager informing me that he told me to phone up when I had a problem not just turn up! The day previous he told me the clutch was absolutely fine and he had test drove it etc, no mention of a return. I asked him for his customer services email address only to be informed/ threatened that if I involve them he would have to take his direction from head office and it could be weeks before he could/ would look at my car again. I took my car to another garage who test drove it and told me the clutch was knackered, they renewed the clutch and showed me the old clutch which had burn marks on it etc, they were also very sceptical about the pipe renewal and the price charged. Please do not use this garage they are awful the manager is aggressive and rude and only interested in taking your money. Absolutely awful service. They should be ashamed.
My partners number plate fell clean off she went over a bump - she panicked and swung into mr clutch. Ian the manager sorted it out within 5 mins and reassured her. Mr clutch have now earned themselves a new customer from that small act of kindness.
I wouldn't ever use this garage again, the whole clutch feels so different to previous with a weak pressure plate and now a squealing release bearing periodically 1 month after being fitted. Coupled with screwdriver marks in the trim where someone attempted to split it apart to get to the gear stick. All denied by the manager of course who did not even want to see the issue.
Overdue mot. Mr Clutch fitted me in straight away and delivered the mot within the hour. Manager was friendly and helpful.
I had my clutch replaced in January 23 and have done under 500 miles so not due for its first check yet. Last week it developed a knocking noise so took to another garage for investigation. When carrying out the work the technician has over tightened the drive shaft into the NSF wheel bearing and the work has not been checked, due to their actions it has sheared off and left my car in a dangerous and unroadworthy condition. They obviously rush jobs and don't care about customer safety or service. On attending the garage was told " it could have happened anytime and to contact customer services" . Have been on hold for 45 minutes trying to speak to customer service. Stay away from this place, they obviously don't take pride in their work. In reply to your comment that you can't my invoice my husband paid. He has now spoken to you and you should be collecting my car by low loader this afternoon as it can't be driven. I have been told by, Cliff Russell Customer Relations Manager "We will need you to remove the one stars urgently, before we carry out any investigation into your concern". I will amend my reviews at the conclusion of this matter.
Took my car here for a new Clutch. Fast service at a good price. Got a price from their website that didn't go up. Was easy to book in and they took it at a time and date that was best for me. My engine management light came on the next day but they were happy to get in straight back in to check and sorted it in 15 minutes. That's not a dig at them, these things happen but just pointing out they will be happy to check their work quickly and without a fuss if there is a problem. Would recommend.
