The most perfect fish and chips. Lovely moist fish in a lovely crispy batter, delicious chips and not greasy. We ate in the spacious restaurant. Good sized portions at reasonable prices.Food: 5/5
Been here a couple of times now and can only say Wow!! Best Fish and chips we’ve had in a long long time. Batter is just perfect with the fish inside cooked to perfection. Only four stars, because of the Tea served. Despite leaving it to brew. Sadly I couldn’t drink it and I absolutely love Tea :
Lovely place.. Good quality of food. Fish wasn't greasy at all and good portion size with reasonable price. We were on holidays and enjoyed eating there. Staff was very lovely too
A very nice, clean fish and chip shop and restaurant. Staff were polite and friendly, service was quick, and the prices were competitive. They had good fresh fish which is a must in a good chippy, and we'll be happy to return.Food: 4/5
Table service takes an age. Asked for Latte coffee, got Cappuccino as apparently " they're the same". Ordered chicken wraps with chips, chicken was over cooked and hard as rocks. Potential for a great restaurant and takeaway but lacks the effort needed from staff. Shame really. Prices are very reasonable and the menu is quite extensive. Hopefully things can and will improve.
It depends on who is frying, this was our 3rd visit, first 2 couldn't fault the fish and chips the last was money down the drain, the fish didn't have enough batter on so the young lady poured batter over the fish in the fryer, the fish shrunk to nothing and the batter was almost burnt. The chips were cooked but the outer layer was so hard basically inedible, too much dry white we've been told. This how much white fish there was. Disgusting.
Ordered at 6:45, food finally arrived at 8. Chips were cold, fish was also cold and the batter was soggy. Ended up having to reheat it. Requested salt and vinegar and arrived with none. Save your money.
I had a brilliant Haddock and Chips and my friend had a vegetarian burger and Chips. It was all cooked perfectly and I will definitely return. The curry sauce was awesome and the staff were very friendly.
Was once a great chippy I grew up in Louth and the last few times I've ordered it's been very small portion and the batter wasn't crispy at all
